Sweet! This tournament offers some pretty decent plays I've found. What is good about it is that the matches are spaced so far apart - next come in May - that I don't think the books really know how to set the totals much. If you saw the lines yesterday, the totals on most of those games I think went up at least a half a goal by kickoff.

Play #44: [Argentina Primera] River Plate vs. San Lorenzo UNDER 2.5 (-133)
Both teams have struggled to find the back of the net of late with River Plate scoring just five goals in their last five with three of those coming in one match. San Lorenzo has been held scoreless in four of their last five and have just one goal in their three away matches since returning from the winter break. Overall, San Lorenzo has just two goals in six games in 2010. Their defense has been strong, conceding just four goals in that strethc. River Plate has scored more than one goal just once in six tries in 2010, while conceding one or no goals in five of six. 7 of the last 8 at home for River Plate have featured two goals or less.

Play #45: [Austria Bundesliga] Austria Wien vs. LASK Linz OVER 3 (-145)
Linz on the road is an auto-play for me on the OVER when it's at 3 or lower. Since returning from the winter break, Linz has done nothing to slow down the number of goals that follows their matches. They have conceded 8 in 3 matches, while scoring 5 - 4 of those in one match at home. On the road this season, Linz matches have seen at least 3 goals in 10 of 11. Linz has been held scoreless in 3 of 11 on the road and in two straight away from home. The good news is that Austria Wien has come out firing from the break with 9 goals, 8 of which have come in their two home matches. They have also conceded a goal in each of their 3 matches after the break. When they met early in the Bundesliga campaign at Austria Wien, Wien scored late to win 3-0 and gain a push. With Linz giving up an average of well over 3 goals per road contest, Austria Wien should be able to get the push on this total by themselves again. I believe if Linz can score, then the over is a solid proposition here and Wien certainly has the ability to get four against the soft defense of the visitors.

                              Play #46: [Italy Serie A] A.S. Roma vs. A.C. Milan OVER 2.5 (-104)
I'm a little surprised not to see the juice already up on this total as this tilt could feature plenty of scoring opportunities. Roma has had trouble in their last 5 keeping their opponents off the scoreboard, yielding 9 goals in that stretch. They still have plenty of scoring power with 11 goals in their last 5. In Serie A since returning from the break, 6 of 9 for Roma have featured at least three goals. At home, they have tallied 11 goals in 5 home matches in 2010, while conceding just two. They will be up against it though with Milan coming to town with their eyes still set squarely on catching Inter at the top of the table. Milan has been in fine scoring form in 2010 with 5 straight matches seeing them score at least two goals. After a brief struggle on the road in early February, Milan refound their scoring touch with four goals in their last two away from home. Milan has also conceded at least one goal now in 6 of their last 7 in league play. This series has had a run of four straight matches with at least three goals on the scoresheet by the final whistle and with Milan set for a good run of home matches (3 of the next 4) following this one, they will surely press for the full three points as will Roma who could tie Milan with a win today in 2nd place. Even with Roma set to miss Totti and Milan missing Pato, there is plenty of weaponry as well as some shaky recent defense to see where 3 goals is a definite possibility.

                                  Play #47: [PARLAY] Roma/Milan OVER & Sevilla/Real Madrid OVER (-187)
Playing big chalk coupled together here on alternate lines at 5Dimes (-322/-583) in what seems a cozy shot to cash at relatively low chalk when you think about it. Roma/Milan OVER 1.5. Sevilla/Real Madrid OVER 1.5. I think all four teams will score, making two goals in each match easily. I think all four teams could score multiple goals, making at least two goals in both matches.

Can't believe the Austria league today. Usually goals all over, but just one match right now with a lot of goals. Can't believe Linz hasn't conceded a goal. Guess there's always one of these matches along the way. Hopefully it means they set the chalk or line lower in the next Linz match.

Today may be brutal for me in soccer. Has the makings with how the Milan match has gone so far. The parlay is my only hope I think and getting two goals may be a stretch.

exactly the REASON to play them lower goals or draws. turned out both were draws, but even one of them hitting under 2.5 (hell, why not under 1.5?) pays the other one in case of other loss.

Pick #48: [Spain La Liga] Espanyol PK (-101)
Espanyol is 3-0-1 in its four home matches in 2010 since returning from the winter break. They have beaten two teams ranked ahead of Villarreal on the table and drew another in Mallorca. Villarreal meanwhile has remained lost on the road despite a managerial change. They are 0-4-2 in their six road tilts in the new year. They have conceded 17 goals and scored just 6 in that span. Espanyol also drew with this squad on the road way back in October. Quite a feat considering Espanyol is also horrid on the road with just one win, 8 losses and 3 draws. With Espanyol in solid form at home and Villarreal looking for help still away from home, I find Espanyol a real shot to win and a pretty safe shot to at worst, not lose today.

They have scored in each of their nine matches on home soil, tallying multiple strikes in four. Their 27 home goals ranks top in the league for the season. They have three clean sheets, but have also conceded multiple goals in four of nine at home. Winterthur has 21 away goals, third best in the league. Winterthur has given up a goal in eight straight at home since a scoreless draw opener their away slate. That includes giving up multiple goals in six of nine. When they met in October at Winterthur, three goals was the total.
