#1857Play #31: [PARLAY] Belgium Pro League: Genk ML/France Ligue 2: Vannes-Chateauroux OVER 2 (+196)
I don't like playing chalky favorites alone, so decided to partner these up. Genk has quietly been on a strong run in Belgium with three straight wins to start back from the Winter Break. That includes home wins against 2nd place Club Brugge & Europa League participant, Standard Liege. Genk might sit just 10th on the table, but they face probably the worst road team in the league in Lokeren which has one win and nine losses on the road this season. Since the break, Lokeren is 1-2 with an 0-1 mark on the road. Genk defeated Lokeren back in October, 2-0 @ Lokeren and have beaten them four straight times in all competitions. In France, Chateauroux and goals have been a good combo all season. They have played 24 matches with just 4 of them finishing with totals below 2. At home, 9 of 11 have featured at least two goals. Not by coincidence, Chateauroux has conceded at least one goal in 9 of 11. Vannes isn't a great scoring club on the road, but they have managed goals in 9 of 12. They have conceded in 8 of 12 on the road. Since the break, Chateauroux has played 5 matches with all 5 hitting for at least two goals and the last two clearing that total. Vannes hit 2 goal totals in 3 of 5 in 2010 and these two played to a 5 goal match back in September.Comment -

#1860Play #32: [England Premier] Everton vs. Manchester United OVER 2/2.5 (-123)
Two teams in solid form meeting on Saturday. Everton has is 6-2-1 in 2010, having won 4 of their last 5 in all competitions. Manchester United has won 6 of their last 8. Both come in with heads held up high after victories in UEFA play. Everton knocked off Sporting Lisbon 2-1 at home in the Europa League while Manchester United posted a solid 3-2 win on the road against A.C. Milan in the Champions League. Everton has been very solid scoring at home of late with multiple goals in 6 of their last 7 at home in all competitions. They have also conceded in 4 of their last 6 at home. Overall, Everton have failed to score just once in 13 of their last 15. Manchester United meanwhile have been pouring in goals both home and away. United has tallied 24 goals in 10 matches in the new year. On the road, United has scored at least once in 9 of their last 10. They have yielded at least one goal in 8 straight away from home and in 10 of their last 11 on the road. Both teams will have some defensive absences again and this one looks pretty solid to see goals from both sides. With Wayne Rooney in dynamic form, I think United has the potential to score more than once and Everton at home in their current form also should have chances to tally against a United defense that has been a little leaky on the road. Taking the split line as I can see 1-1 possible, but believe United or Everton will find that 2nd goal and get a full stakes win on the OVER here.

#1861Play #33: [Spain La Liga] Mallorca +156
Mallorca is perfect at home in La Liga at 10-0. Sevilla has yet to score a win in 2010 on the road, going 0-3 in La Liga. Huge match here as Mallorca can move into 4th ahead of Sevilla with a win and be in the mix for a Champions League spot next season. Mallorca has simply been a dominant home team in the league with 25 goals in 10 matches and just three allowed. Mallorca has just La Liga to focus on while Sevilla has to keep one eye on the league and one eye looking ahead to the Champions League in mid-week. One goal may be enough to snare a win here for the home side, but multiple goals could be on deck as Sevilla has allowed at least two goals in each of their three road matches in the new year.

Sevilla taking it to Mallorca today. Oh well, took my shot - that's what I get for picking a side and why I usually stick to totals.

#1871Play #34: [German Bundesliga] Wolfsburg vs. F.C. Schalke OVER 2.5 (-114)
Wolfsburg home matches have been a magnet for goals all season. Through 11 matches on their home turf, the matches are averaging a robust 4.5 goals per match. Only their opener at home against Stuttgart featured a total under 3 goals. Since then, 12 of their 13 overall at home (including Champions League) have hit for 3 goals or better. Since returning from the winter break, Wolfsburg has scored and conceded in each of five matches. At home in Bungesliga play, Wolfsburg has hit for multiple goals 9 of 11 times. Defensively, they have yielded multiple goals in 9 also, including 3 goals in 4 of the last 5 at home. Schalke has scored in 4 of their 5 matches since the break. They have kept clean sheets in 4 of those 5, but three of those came against the bottom rung offenses that Bundesliga has to offer. Wolfsburg ranks 5th in the league with 38 goals on the season and sports the league's 2nd leakiest defense having allowed 44 goals. Schalke has been held scoreless three times on the road in 10 matches, but have also hit for two goals in 5 road matches. Against the likes of Wolfsburg, Schalke should have success finding the back of the net and I believe despite Schalke's stingy defense of late, Wolfsburg should score as well seeing as they have only been held off the scoresheet in two of their 22 matches in Bundesliga. I'd imagine with Wolfsburg's defensive record, Schalke should find the back of the net at least twice.

Sweet ten minutes of action where Grafite scored twice for Wolfsburg to get this done. Some decent matches to pick from on a small Monday, gotta research later.

#1877Play #35: [Mexico Primera] America vs. Tigres OVER 2.5 (-110)
Tigres has played six matches in the league in the new year with five straight featuring them scoring and conceding at least one goal. All six have hit for 3 goals or better. Tigres has yielded two goals in five straight. Away from home, Tigres has scored in all but one of their matches in the league this season. They have also conceded a goal in all but one on the road. America is averaging over two goals per home match in the league this season. Since returning from the break, America has hit for 8 goals in their three home matches, conceding just one. Two of those however came against offensively challenged clubs in Cruz Azul and Indios. Haven't bet a whole lot of Mexico matches, but this one looked like a decent shot at a decent price, so I'm gonna take a shot.

#1886Play #36: [Switzerland Challenge League] Scaffhausen vs. Locarno OVER 3 (-106)
Take into account for this one that it is both clubs first match back since the winter break. Still, this is worth a shot for me. Schaffhausen played six matches at home in the first part of the season, averaging 1.5 goals per match, while conceding 2. 4 of their 6 home tilts hit for better than 3 goals. They gave up at least two goals in 4 of 6. Locarno were goal magnets on the road in the 1st half of the season with their 6 road matches averaging a healthy 4+ goals per match. Locarno scored and conceded in each match with just one falling short of 4 goals as a total. In those 5 matches that hit for four or more goals, they scored and conceded multiple goals. When these two met back in November, the match ended knotted at 2 in Locarno. As I said to start, form may not necessarily carry over after both squads have been idle for about six weeks and they did play to a scoreless draw this time last year to restart from the break, so you never know. Still, with 4 of the last 5 meetings between these two hitting at least three goals, I'll go for it and think a push is the worst case here.Comment -
