Play #56: [Argentina Primera] Huracan vs. Chacarita OVER 2 (-133) Huracan has been a much different team offensively at home of late. The club has just one goal in their last three road matches, but has 2 goals or better in 3 of the last 4 at home. Just as important, Huracan has conceded at least one goal in five straight. At home, they have yielded six goals in their four home matches in 2010. Chacarita has tallied at least one goal in 7 of their last 8 on the road and has multiple goals in four of those matches. Chacarita has conceded a goal in 7 of their last 9. 12 of Chacarita's 14 road matches have finished with two goals or more on the season. 9 of 14 at home for Huracan have hit for at least 2 goals. Neither club has been winning much, but the form suggests both could score and a third goal may have a legit shot of finding the back of the net. With the line at 2, a push should be the worst outcome.
Push. Not bad considering it took a red card and late goal to get there.

Play #57: [Spain La Liga] Real Madrid vs. Sporting Gijon OVER 3.5 (-109) Real has tallied three goals or better in seven straight in La Liga. 5 of those 7 have hit for 4 goals or more. At home, Real has scored multiple goals in seven straight as well. Sporting has yielded multiple goals in 5 of 6 and 3 goals in 3 of the last 3 on the road. Real has scored three goals or better in their last four home matches against Sporting. Tied with Barca on top of the table, Real certainly will capture another home win today. In their current form, one would expect Real to hit for at least 3 goals. Sporting has hit a goal in 9 of 12 on the road, so if the match opens up for Real, Sporting should sneak home a goal to help finish this up .... or Real could thoroughly dominate this and get all four themselves.

I guess Real Madrid's 1st half over 1.5 for -110 is also good to go?

be wary of the goal handicap for this game. Kaka and Benzema out, Diarra out. This could mean less goals and less chance of keeping a wide goal gap.
I'm only sticking with the over 3.5 here. GL

kaka has been rubbish, and benzema is hardly a important starter yet.
higuain ronaldo grandero guti raul etc should be enough to demolish this team

Sometimes you need a handball to get over a 2.5 total. We'll take it.

Play #58: [France Ligue 1] Bordeaux vs. Lille OVER 2 (-145) Bordeaux's last five at home have all featured at least two goals. Lille's road matches have hit 2 goals or more in 12 of 13. While Lille may not be the scoring machine they were during their run late in 2009, they have scored at least once in 15 straight in Ligue 1 action. Pretty impressive considering Gervinho, their leading scorer, is a long term absence. Bordeaux has conceded at least once in five straight in all competitions at home. They have scored in 12 of 14 at home in Ligue 1. Lille may be down after Liverpool bounced them from the Europa League, but they are still in the thick of the race for Ligue 1's top spot along with Bordeaux. I think both could score in this one, but even if Lille have issues with their confidence I would think Bordeaux at home could get 2 and leave this one at worse at a push.

Play #59: [Spain La Liga] Sporting Gijon vs. Deportivo La Coruna UNDER 2.5/2 (-115) Sporting has just one goal in their last three matches overall. Deportivo has five goals in their last five matches, but those came in a pair of home matches. On the road, Deportivo has played to two goals or under in 10 of their 13 La Liga matches. Sporting has played to two goals or under in 11 of 14 at home. Sporting has only scored multiple goals at home in three matches this season, while Deportivo has failed to score at all in five of their last six on the road. Deportivo also has six clean sheets on the road, while Sporting has the same number at home. This would seem to have the makings of a low scoring draw perhaps or a 1-0 type of match.

Find a shittier beat than that today. Penalty kick on the 2nd red card in the 90th minute, 2-1. Oh well, FU Deportivo and your red cards.
Play #60: [England Premier] Manchester City vs. Everton OVER 2.5 (-103) City play host to Everton today with both teams in pretty solid goal scoring form in recent times. City has put up 7 goals in its last three EPL matches, all coming on the road. They have also conceded 4 during that stretch. At home in 2010, City has been a brick wall defensively with three clean sheets in four matches. They have tallied multiple goals in three of those four at home. Everton have 13 goals in their last five EPL matches. Away from home, they have hit for at least one goal in 11 of 14 on the season. They have just two clean sheets on the road and have yielded multiple goals in 8 of 14. Five of Everton's last six overall have hit for at least three goals. This is the 2nd meeting of the new year with Everton having won at home 2-0 back in January. The match is hugely important for City as they can leap past Tottenham into 4th place with a win today and get even further away from Liverpool which is just two points behind Everton right now, but has played two more matches. This one seems a solid shot that both clubs will score and whether it's the individual brilliance of Carlos Tevez or an Arteta or Cahill for Everton, I think one or both of these clubs is capable of putting up multiple scores.

To be honest...only 2 out of last 10 games between these two went o2.5 - yet the odds are only slightly favoring under 2.5 at -109.
Someone showed me a trick to this...but I can't remember, it's an easy over or under call...but I can't seem to remember the trick.

Historical stats I think are over rated some times. I do think they are useful in home vs. away head-2-head situations where if a team has not won in 8 trips somewhere, maybe there is an edge there if whatever form the teams are in for that year dictate the home team still being better. Totals to me depend more on current form and lineups. You can't say that because City and Everton played under 2.5 back in 2005 that it means much for a match five years later. Even the match in January had differing lineups from what Everton is likely to put out today. Anywho, that's my two cents. We'll find out in a few hours.
