Play #69: [Spain La Liga] Racing Santander vs. Real Madrid OVER 3 (-133)
Is there a reason to go against Real Madrid's recent goal scoring form? Real has now scored three goals or more in 10 straight matches in league play. The good news for this match is that Real remains leaky defensively, having allowed at least one goal in their last 9 matches in all competitions. That should boost the confidence of Racing which has been held scorless in their last four at home. However, they are coming off a three goal outburst on the road against Bilbao. Racing's home form is a bit sketchy to get a read on with most of La Liga outside of Real & Barca not really consistent goal scoring threats on the road. So, look way back to September when they played Barcelona and Barca crushed them 4-1. With El Clasico awaiting Real next weekend, look for them to send a message forward to Barcelona. Real certainly has a legit shot to finish the OVER by themselves based on their scoring form and with their defense still shaky at-times, Racing could help add to the total.

Play #70: [Sweden Allsvenskan] Elfsborg vs. Hacken OVER 2.5 (-120)
Since starting play back up in 2010, both these clubs have found their scoring boots. Elfsborg was shut out in their first match of the new campaign, but has now scored 8 in their last two - including 6 in one match at home. Hacken meanwhile have 8 goals in their three matches in 2010, while conceding in 2 of those 3. Elfsborg conceded two goals in their last match after two clean sheets to begin the 2010 slate. Elfsborg ran through the 2009 portion of league play with multiple goals at home being fairly regular before tailing off late in the campaign. Hacken was the opposite as they started slow away from home, but then tallied at least one goal in 9 of their last 11. Historically, this is a match where both teams score and given the current form, hopefully we can find a third goal as well. All 13 of their lifetime matches have featured at least two goals scored.

Play #71: [Champions League] Bordeaux vs. Lyon OVER 2/2.5 (-120)
Being just a touch conservative instead of taking plus money at 2.5 because of the recent slide for myself. Bordeaux has no choice but to attack, being down 3-1 from the first leg. Bordeaux will be missing midfielder Fernando, which hurts their attack somewhat. Still, they have plenty of goal scoring options in their fold. Important for the home side today will be a quick start. They were shocked out of the gate against Lyon in the 1st leg by an early goal, but they got an equalizer just a few minutes later showing their ability to fight back. That can't be in the plan today because an away goal from Lyon could all but seal Bordeaux's demise. Bordeaux has scored and conceded in six straight in all competition at home and have scored two goals in each of their last three home Champions League clashes. Lyon is rarely held scoreless and have scored and conceded at least once in 4 of their last 5 Champions League road tilts. Lyon could try and simply throw up a wall in this one and that could work, but I believe with Bordeaux needing goals - Bordeaux is going to open themselves up for counter attacks as well as probably banging a goal home by themselves. Taking the split total as there is a possibility of a two goal game and at this point, losing half stakes seems like a winner.

Play #72: [Europa League] Atletico Madrid +120
Atletico Madrid faces fellow La Liga squad Valencia in the 2nd leg of their EL clash with the result from the first leg, 2-2. That means Atletico can progress with a 1-1 or 0-0 draw or simply, a win. I fancy them to take the easy route as they have won 6 of their last 8 home matches and are unbeaten in 13 of their last 14 in all competitions at home. Valencia meanwhile have lost 5 of their last 7 on the road and haven't taken a full three points on the road since winning a match in La Liga play way back on January 10th against Xerez. These two met in Madrid in La Liga play back in February and Atletico delivered a comprehensive beating 4-1 that day. Expecting close to, if not full squads for both sides here. Diego Forlan has three goals against Valencia in the last two meetings, I think he's the man who leads his side again to victory today.

Play #73: [Europa League] Liverpool vs. Benfica OVER 2.5 (-120) *2 unit play*
Simple formula. Liverpool trails 2-1 after the first leg, so they must score goals today if they are to give themselves a chance to progress. At home, you'd have to give Liverpool a good shot to do that as the Reds have tallied multiple goals in four straight at home and 6 of 9 at home in 2010. That includes 10 goals in their last three at home in all competitions. Benfica has conceded at least one goal in 5 of their 6 EL road matches and have scored in 5 of 6. The Portugese side has also gone 13 straight on the road with at least one goal on offense, so they definitely have a shot to add to the total. I expect that Liverpool could do all the damage today by themselves, but certainly think combined this one is headed for an OVER.
