Heh. I've finally come to my senses and I'm sticking to soccer & Euro hoops for posting picks. My basketball picks for NBA & NCAAB would suck if that didn't do a disservice to the word suck. Play #222: [Europa League] Genoa vs. Valencia OVER 2.5 (-123)
This one should be a recipe for goals as both have plenty to play for here. Genoa needs the full three points to try and progress in the Europa League, while Valencia can book the top spot in the group with a draw or win. Genoa at home has been an entirely different goal scoring monster as they have banged home multiple goals in 10 of 11 on home turf since the EL and their domestic campaign began in August. They have also yielded at least one goal in 9 of those 11 matches. Valencia is in fine form goal-scoring wise as well with 11 in their last 5 overall. In 6 straight in the EL, they have scored and conceded a goal. Valencia has scored a road goal in all 11 of their matches since their domestic campaign began. It was 3-2 the first time they played in Valencia, keep in mind two of those goals were on penalties though, still - this looks a good bet that both will score and with what is at stake, I'd think one or the other should find the back of the net for multiple goals.

Mainz is currently on a honorable 8th spot in the table with a total of 24 points, they have little room to move as in case of a victory they can advance only one position and if defeated falling to the 10th spot depending on the other teams results.
Their good table position is mostly due to their home statistic as in away matches the record is very poor, with only one victory so far and 3 draws in 8 played.

Overall, they are on a goal spree with 10 in their last three matches and they have conceded 12 in their last 5. Heracles matches have hit for 3 or better in six straight, Venlo's in 3 of the last 4. Venlo has 10 goals in their last 5, but all of those came at home. On the road, they have been scoreless in three straight in league play. Seems likely with that being said that Heracles should have little trouble netting a goal or two here and with them in a giving mood at home, Venlo should join them on the scoresheet.
