Marseille is up against it if they hope to move into the Knockout Stages as they need to gain victory today by three goals if Zurich is unable to shock AC Milan today. Knowing that, the French will need to play an open match and know that Real Madrid's back line is leaky enough to conceded some goals. Real for their part may choose to focus hard on this one as a shot to finish first in the group. With the Spaniards coming off a 4-2 win over Almeria, it appears that perhaps their offensive attack has refound itself. Prior to their match against PSG, Marseille has conceded a goal at home in 5 straight matches with 3 of these being multiple goal yielding matches. If you go back 20 matches on home turf, they have only been shut out once. Real Madrid played a tight 1-0 match against Zurich in their last CL fixture, but had scored multiple goals in 3 of their first 4 in CL play. It's always a bit risky to trust that Real has turned the corner offensively, but I think with the situation being what it is, multiple goals are highly possible today for the Spanish-side and Marseille looks like a good shot to score as well.

Play #210: [Champions League] Wolfsburg/Manchester United OVER 2.5 (-113)
Sat and tried to talk myself out of this one, but I have liked it and will take a shot. Manchester United has a much different backline in place today as we know, but still there is quality in striking with Owen in the starting lineup. Wolsfburg meanwhile have given up plenty of goals of late with 10 allowed in their last 5. In their 5 Champions League matches, 4 have gone to at least three goal totals. The Germans have hit for multiple goals in 10 of their last 11 at home. Man U. won the first fixture between these two, 2-1. The English have scored 8 goals in their last two road matches, albeit with different personnel than today. Wolfsburg needs full points today to try and join United in the KO stages, so expect them to go all out which not only could mean multiple goals for them, but leave openings for United's offense as well.

Yeah. Hopefully we can get one more in the Real Madrid match. Looks like Wolfsburg will have a lot of work to do to get that over, but stranger things have happened in 2nd halves. I've seen quite a few 2nd half comebacks on overs of late and Wolfsburg-Man U's first meeting got all three goals in Half #2.

Big total, but I like it. AJAX at home, 19 goals in their last 5 overall. 23 in their last 5 Eredivisie. Only 2 allowed. 6/7 hit 3 or more. NEC last 3, scored 8, yielded 9. Given up multiple goals in 5/8 roadies. Last 2 hit 4 or better. AJAX averages 3.86 gpm at home, yields 0.43. NEC scores 1.13 on the road, concedes 1.63. AJAX is capable I think of getting all 4, but NEC's recent run indicates they should be willing to help out with a goal or two.

Nice work on AJAX -2, that cashed - unfortunately for me, it wound up 3-0. AJAX did their best to save this one, but NEC provided nothing. Them's the breaks. Plenty of action this weekend! LASK LINZ line for tomorrow split at 3/3.5 at plus money. Looks like a shot potentially to me, need to research it more but Wiener Neustadt averages 2 goals at home, LINZ gives up almost 4 on the road. Two matches already played between the two to 5 & 6 goal totals. Seems pretty solid to get 3 at the worst and likely to get the 4th needed to cash.

Wigan is one of the most giving clubs on the road in the EPL thus far, yielding 3.14 goals per road match. Stoke isn't a powerhouse offensively, netting 1.29 goals per home match, while yielding 1. Still, Stoke has hit at least 2 goal totals in 6 of their 8 home matches. They have also tallied at least one goal in 7 of 8 at home, conceding multiple goals in 4 of their last 6. Wigan has scored in 4 straight and on the road, all 6 of their matches have hit for at least 2 goals - 5 of them hitting for 3 or more. Wigan has conceded in 6 straight on the road, including 20 in their last 5. Seems likely that both will hit the scoresheet and with Wigan's horrid road form, even offensively challenged Stoke may get multiple goals here. Think worst case should be a push.

Play #214: [Spain La Liga] Barcelona vs. Espanyol UNDER 3.5/3 (-109)
This is a gut play with Messi sitting out. Barca is still fielding a strong side with Xavi, Henry & Ibrahimovic all in the line-up, but Messi has been the main scoring threat of late for them. He has 3 goals in their last 3 matches where Barca has scored 7 goals. Will that make a difference against a team circling the drain like Espanyol? Maybe not as they've given up 4 goals in each of their last two matches. However, on the road this season - Espanyol has only conceded 7 goals in six La Liga matches. One thing that appears certain is that they aren't likely to add to the total, scoreless in their last four and kept off the scoresheet in 5 of 6 road matches this season. So for me, it comes down to how much damage Barca will do here. Barca has stayed at 3 or under in half of their 6 home matches in La Liga & I believe Espanyol's only choice is to try and play as defensive as possible, knowing they won't match Barca toe-for-toe. Prior to their meltdowns the last two matches, Espanyol's matches had gone 3 or UNDER in 8 straight and 10 of 13 overall.

Getafe averages 2 goals at home, allowing 1.17 goals. Tenerife allows 3 per road match. Getafe has allowed a goal in 5/6 at home and scored multiple goals at home in 4 of their last 5. Tenerife has 8 goals in their last 5, 8 in their last 4 in La Liga. On the road, they have allowed 18 goals in 6 matches - 2 or more in 5 straight. 6/7 overall have hit for more than 3 for Tenerife. 5/6 on the road have done the same. With Tenerife's form on the road and Getafe's scoring prowess at home, seems likely that Getafe should hit for multiple goals here and could do the damage all by themselves. Tenerife recent offense shows they should be good to try and help out with at least one, so the OVER looks like a good shot.
