Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell (Calif.) on Thursday suggested Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chair Brendan Carr “get a lawyer” for when Democrats take the majority in Congress at the midterms.

Carr has faced significant heat from Democrats for encouraging ABC to remove host Jimmy Kimmel from airwaves after he made a joke about the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk.

“I want to make it clear, there’s going to be a Democratic majority in just over a year,” Swalwell said during a Thursday hearing.

“And to the FCC chairperson and anyone involved in these dirty deals, get a lawyer and save your records because you’re going to be in this room and you’re going to be answering questions about the deals that you struck and who benefited and what the cost was to the American people because that happened,” he continued.

People are shot and killed by a gun every day here in Houston. Very rarely someone is saved by a gun. It just does not happen much. You are much more likely to be killed BY YOUR OWN GUN, then being saved by it.

if you understood my post I found online ... It is impossible to provide a definitive number of lives saved by guns each year, as there is no official national count for such incidents. Which, if you think about it, makes sense. The news will report when a person is shot and killed but not the times when a crime was avoided. How do you possibly keep stats on that? So, if you think there no crimes or people not being killed whosoever in the country because citizens are carrying guns, then ok, but if you think there are, then "tens of thousands to millions" seems likely.

We keep stats when comes to car accidents but there are no stats showing how many millions of people drive each day accident free.

Covid..it was when sheltered at home and worked from home was in place and the whole country shut down. Between 2017 and 2019 gas was between $2.50 and $3.00. The last year of Biden's presidency the gas was $3.00. It is a myth to believe that Trump had cheap gas and Biden has expensive gas.

2 dollar gas may seem good for consumers but it killed the oil majors. They could not operate. So what did they do? Laid off and offshored. Losing tens of thousands of jobs, that fuel the economy. Companies right now are quietly doing the same thing. Too much uncertainty with tariffs and policies. So they are quietly divesting in the US. Stocks are doing well as companies reduce staff but it’s a facade. People are losing jobs at a record pace. Companies are not hiring. You do the math. I don’t play the blame game nor do I care if it’s the Dems or republicans. All that matters is to see the tea leaves and capitalize on the market in good and lean times.
