A wage should be in proportion to what is produced. If I decide to close my business and get a job as delivering pizza, my wage will drop substantially, possibly to below poverty. It’s not the job of my employer to pay me enough regardless of how much I produce, it’s the market telling me to go back to my old job.

Great Britain’s industrial output very important to us winning the war. Germany never mass produced a long range 4 engine bomber in WWII, GB had the Lancaster, the Halifax and the Stirling. I don’t exploit labor any more than you do with your retirement accounts.
