Do you believe that drug companies want to cure people or do you think they want people to be consumers of their products? Isn't is possible that the latter is more true?
Do you think its just a coincidence that the FDA just banned red dye #6 in food, which is banned nearly everywhere else, after they banned it from makeup decades ago, and they made this decision only after Trump won knowing RFK jr. is gonna be tog dog at HHS? Do you think its possible if RFK jr. gets approved and his message resonates with Americans and their health improves and the life expectancy stops falling, the drug companies could stand to lose billions for themselves and their shareholders?Comment -

I've been saying that shit for years, but RFK Jr got some out their ideas. That has nothing to do with that statement.
The GOP will not let the pharm companies lose billions. Not if they can stop it. Approving Jr. will not change the law or the Bills they will pass.
It will resonate until they see their kids' getting infections that have not been around for years. How many will have to die.Comment -

#17617Are the resident Trumpers just going to grasp for a way to defend literally every Trump lie that gets exposed? Or are you ever willing to admit when he's wrong and have a rational discussion?
The problem is it really seems like the former. That's why I rarely bother posting here anymore. I can enjoy a good debate, but y'all are completely delusional. Trump is one of the most prolific liars in political history based on objective measures and bipartisan fact-checking sites. But there's no meaningful argument to be had if you refuse to accept data, because in your minds it's always a conspiracy theory against youComment -

"It's like you're dreamin' about Gorgonzola cheese when it's clearly Brie time, baby."
Most of us enjoy a good debate. Unfortunately, most liberals here, past and present, have lost their minds and are incapable of anything more than name calling. This is confirmed by fact checkers.
The concept of bipartisan fact-checking sites suggests impartiality and objectivity, but this is a matter worth examining. The question arises whether these sites can truly remain unbiased. Can humans actually be truly unbiased all the time? I say no. While some may attempt to do so, it is obvious that many fact-checking organizations are perceived to be a left-leaning. This perception extends to prominent fact-checkers such as CNN Fact Check, NYT Fact Check, NPR Fact Check, PolitiFact, Snopes, and Washington Post Fact Check. Conversely, the Right also has its own fact-checking entities like Breitbart and the National Review. Nonetheless, there remains a sentiment that right-leaning perspectives may not receive fair consideration from organizations that assert their impartiality. https://www.allsides.com/media-bias/...eck-bias-chart
Jim Acosta just resigned, Chuck Todd did the same, Don Lemon was fired as was Cuomo. All of them claim they just report the facts. Do you believe them? Hardly anyone does anymore. It’s mostly because they do not report the facts. The are all liberal activists pretending to be impartial. They lie and mislead. Unlike people like RFK, Tulsi Gabbard and Elon Musk, they refuse to change. MSM, they are all mostly liberal leaning sites. We all just witnesses the lie they tried to push about Musk and the Nazi salute. You might have even seen the goofs on SBR who bought it.
Seven years after Charlottesville, and right before the Trump-Biden debate, Snopes finally fact-checked the lie about Trump calling Nazi's "very fine people". It took them 7 years. During this period, reports continued to circulate. The question arises as to why it took so long. Would the response have been different if the individuals involved were Biden or Crooked Clinton? We all know the answer don't we? There is a perception that fact-checkers exhibit bias by not scrutinizing some political figures as rigorously. Except it's not perception. This leads to concerns about potential omission and bias in the media. You know, lying/misleading by omission. You can pretend your side don't lie and Trump lies more than anyone. You can make excuses as to why you rarely post here anymore all you want, but it seems to me the real reason is your inability to do your homework before joining in the discussion. This leads to being overwhelmed by facts and logic. I think an independent fact-checker would agree.
We, as supporters of Donald Trump, acknowledge that he has his flaws and tends to exaggerate at times. It is evident that we are not voting for perfection. We recognize that humans are inherently imperfect, prone to making mistakes and sometimes saying or doing imprudent things. This is true for all of us. Our assessment is based on the overall character and values of the individual.
Trump is not considered one of the most prolific liars in history. Some media sources are providing this information. You choose to believe this voluntarily. No one is holding a gun to your head.
If you wish to discuss political topics, please proceed. You will find that those of us with conservative views will not be cluttering the forum with baseless claims or derogatory references but rather engaging in a meaningful debate on the issue at hand. We do not hold grudges, though discussions can sometimes become intense. If this is challenging for you, it may be best to reconsider participating.

#17623He's definitely grasping for anything. But at least what he says is physically possible, and obeys the laws of reality and logic.
Compare Hareeba's 'dumb' statement to someone who would write dozens of posts doubling down that ANYONE who could somehow confuse this for looking like a nazi style salute is clearly mentally ill?
And who really looks "dumber" or more lost and unreasonable in their bias comparing those two?.Comment -

#17624Oh look , it’s the U.S. continuing to show they are a laughingstock around the globe thanks to Trump.
Richard Grenell, President Donald Trump's presidential envoy for special missions, is returning from Venezuela with six U.S. citizens after meeting with the country's president.
Grenell met with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Friday as part of the Trump administration's efforts to deport violent criminal illegal immigrants from the United States and send them back to their country of origin. He announced later on Friday through a post on X that he was returning to the U.S. with six American citizens who had been detained in the countryComment -

#17628‘The Airport Said Don't Do It. And They Did It.’
For years, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority warned Congress that the region’s airports were at capacity, DeFazio said in an interview with POLITICO Magazine. But their pleas for restraint fell short among lawmakers, who voted to add more flights to an airport already struggling with its heavy load and a shortage of air traffic controllers caused by previous government shutdowns and pandemic-era hits to its workforce.
This is an incredibly congested airspace. First off, if the military wants to run training missions, they could run them between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., when Washington National has noise reductions in place and traffic is dramatically reduced. I don't see any reason to be running training missions during peak hours. I believe that there is a lot of unnecessary military transport in that corridor. When I'm in D.C., I stay on my [house] boat, and I see all of the many, many, many helicopter flights following that same flight path. They come right down over the marina. And it's one thing, when there's an urgent need or a security issue, to move people by military helicopter to the White House or from one base to another in the D.C. area. It's another to do it for convenience for generals and “very important people” who don't want to sit in traffic. We should look at reducing the amount of traffic to flights that are necessary, not just convenient. And for training, they should be doing that in the hours when there are way fewer flights coming into National Airport.
Secondly, it's unbelievable that the president of the United States and three of his minions — Secretary [Sean] Duffy, Secretary [Pete] Hegseth, and Vice President [JD] Vance — immediately blamed DEI. I mean, let's be real here. All air traffic controllers go through the same training. They have to pass the same unbelievably rigorous test. It's a very, very stressful job. They are overworked. We do not have enough fully trained air traffic controllers. That's the fault of both Congress and the former president. We've had Congress chronically underfunding the number of air traffic controllers that we need, in addition to inspection personnel.
