Kari Lake explains why she believes Biden ‘intentionally’ botched the border
Arizona Republican Kari Lake is bluntly accusing President Biden of creating the border catastrophe to destabilize the country and seize power.
Despite constant attacks from the left and a razor-thin defeat for governor of her state in 2022, Lake has set her sights on getting elected as Arizona’s next senator and she’s not holding anything back as she campaigns. She claims the tsunami of six million illegal immigrants that have crossed our southern border over the last three years was an intentional move by Biden.
“We’re seeing what can happen when you have a president, a person named Joe Biden who came in and actually peeled back an effective border policy that was working,” Lake told the Washington Examiner in an interview. “He did that on day one. And I think he did it intentionally to destabilize our country.”
Lake pointed out the millions of illegal immigrants allowed to inundate the country while the fentanyl epidemic rages out of control, killing Americans. She is laying all of that at Biden’s feet.Comment -

Biden admin to start refilling nation's emergency oil supply — at a hefty price
West Texas Intermediate, the U.S. benchmark, was hovering around $75.90 per barrel on Friday, despite a fresh round of OPEC+ production cuts. That marks a major drop from May 2022, when prices hit a high of $120 per barrel.
However, it is a notable increase from early 2020, when prices were under $20 per barrel. At the time, former President Donald Trump tried to add 77 million barrels of oil to the emergency oil cache, but he was blocked by congressional Democrats.
Brent crude, meanwhile, was trading around $80 per barrel.

President Biden just pledged to shut down 60% of America's electric power.
the shutdown of our coal and natural gas power plants won’t move the needle a millimeter on greenhouse gas emissions — and may make global CO2 emissions worse, not better.
That’s because by far the biggest producer of greenhouse gas emissions — China — isn’t playing in this climate-change sandbox.
(President Xi Jinping didn’t even attend the conference, and the Chinese who did were adamant that climate-change concerns aren’t going to interfere with Beijing’s grandiose economic expansion plans.)
The coal plants and mines we shut down in places like Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Wyoming are being replaced two or three times over by newly built coal-fired plants in India and China.
We shut down one plant; they bring on line two or three new ones.
This math doesn’t add up — especially since we have cleaner coal plants than China does.
Biden is playing a dangerous game of unilateral energy disarmament.
