You'd think they'd be on top of all of things that are harming the environment. Plus being lied to about how this crap is recyclable and the wasted money. The hoax cult follows The Science™ instead of the data and the dollars.Leave a comment:

Palermo in Sicily has just obliterated its all-time heat record by over 2°C. The previous record was +44.8°C in August 1999.
The observatory has weather data dating back to 1791. This is a very significant record to fall by such an enormous margin.

but does it?
Evidence also showed that a low fat diet was the way to go. Eggs were bad. So what happened? Everything became low fat modified sugar saturated garbage. Evidence presented to those in power led them to approve this message. Look at America 40 year later.
Evidence had to be shown how many times to the FDA to finally approve aspartame? I think they rejected it 3 or 4 times because they approved it. Google 'aspartame' today and see what they are saying.
Don't forget that of the dozens and dozens of drugs rejected by the FDA because there was evidence they were harmful to humans, were at one time all approved by the FDA because evidence said they were safe.
I can live with that if everyone else can.
I can put you on a low-fat diet and you will lose weight if you follow it.
I Only use sugar not that other stuffLast edited by jackpot269; 07-24-23, 12:54 PM.Leave a comment:

Antarctic sea ice levels dive in 'five-sigma event', as experts flag worsening consequences for planet
Physical oceanographer Edward Doddridge has been communicating with scientists and the community about the drastic changes happening around Antarctica.
He said vast regions of the Antarctic coastline were ice free for the first time in the observational record.
"To say unprecedented isn't strong enough," Dr Doddridge said.
"For those of you who are interested in statistics, this is a five-sigma event. So it's five standard deviations beyond the mean. Which means that if nothing had changed, we'd expect to see a winter like this about once every 7.5 million years.

I lived In Phoenix from 1995-2004 i loved the heat i know there are thousands of media now and social media since then and no one seem to have said anything in the late 90s they would say the summer is coming here is how to stay sfae and cool, same new story every year.I loved it, desert heat is easier to handle then here in North Central iowa.We have been lucky our first heat wave is this week.In Phoenix i would play golf and walk in the late morning. Here in Iowa i walk to the mail box and evry bit of clothing sticks too you because you are so sweaty would never think about playing golf in the summer. In Phoenix i would carry a sweater around because the supermarket ect was freezing with AC.Sorry for long post just a little reminiscing.Leave a comment:

Yes, I agree that pollution, especially in the oceans is big problem, also in rivers, lakes, and streams.Leave a comment:

I'm on-board nuke em.
So China and India are the biggest polluters on earth, are you mad because the USA is not #1.
They are also the biggest in population, you want to be #1 there too, you could take in every single Mexican and still be #3.
China is #1 worldwide in manufacturing. With Median income of about $6000. USA is #2 with income of about $46,000
You probably want us to be #1 in manufacturing to and only make $6000 a year.
My point is, don't aspire to be like China, let's be great and above and better in every way.
Why would you want to lower our standards to China's or India for that matter.
We are better we should stay that way. Never play down to the competition.
Everybody has a right to their opinion we differ in this area. I think USA needs to always be better in areas that show we are better.
I'm more worried about our oceans being polluted by humans more then climate change. I like eating FISH!Leave a comment:

This isn’t really that surprising for Arizona. Huge population/transplant boom trends the same as this chart and also many transplants from NE/Midwest/cooler climates that don’t have a clue on how to handle the heat. I have a home in Scottsdale and lived there full time for 10+ years. I never understood the people that would climb camelback or echo canyon in the summer with no water, all die or need to be rescued. They now charge them for the rescue! Same thing for Tucson and parts of Grand Canyon. Really Flagstaff is the spot for the summer.Leave a comment:

A fair amount warmer it seems from the data available on this site: https://www.meteoblue.com/en/weather...10&gddLimit=30
Just post what the average temp in Phoenix was in 1983 and what is it in 2023.Leave a comment:
