I’m not going to get the vaccine for me, I’m going to get it so I don’t have to worry about getting my parents and other elderly people sick.

So I expect a fairly rough 24-48 hours

3 of the docs said they slept in their ski jackets and beanies and still shivered all night. One of the nurses I work with got her second shot today and had an asthma attack about 30 minutes after, she felt nothing after the first shot

Getting the vaccine doesn't reduce you getting covid or giving it to people. It is just supposed to reduce your symptoms.

If that's true then how would herd immunity ever happen? It would still transmit just as much and whatever people didn't get the vaccine would be just as vulnerable.

Give us the reaction. Here in VA we’ve somewhat moved beyond ltc to assisted living/rehab centers. I’d like to know if I can function after the 2nd dose

Yes, herd immunity they talk about is enough people have the vaccine in theory so hospitals don't get overwhelmed. Not to eliminate covid.

People who don't take the vaccine will continue to be at the same risk as now. Which is to say 99.9% of them won't get bad symptoms.

so far so good. Arm is probably twice as sore as first shot but still its mild.

Im about 16-17 hours post and haven't had any other side effects.

The docs I work all said the flu like symptoms hit around 12-13 hours after.

Id give your argument more consideration if curfews were ever strictly enforced, if the mask mandate was ever enforced, if the 6’ recommendation was ever enforced, if jabs were mandated, but none of that happened. The government said to the best of our understanding these are the things that will help, and they all made sense.

Yes it is here to stay. But the nature of viruses is that strains that last are generally less severe that previous strains. The most deadly strains rarely last long because they kill their hosts. So vaccines are important and so are mutations.

If you understand science, you know that vaccines do not always eliminate something. They reduce it. They think it may eliminate the virus. But it will most likely greatly reduce the spread and greatly reduce the impact. That is what the shot is for.

The other methods are just to stop you from dying. They were basically not followed and you got an effective lockdown anyway. Nobody is getting COVID voluntarily and nobody is just going to get used to it.

To think they are is pure moronity. If you do not deal with the virus effectively, you will be in this for the long term. At no point are people going to just go out and get COVID.
