Articles are saying their hopes for herd immunity have been dashed as a new spike is on.

So I take a look... they have 177k infections with no lockdowns until now... 1.75% of their 10,100,000 population.

Meanwhile we tanked our economy in March, and are about to do it again... we have 10,600,000 cases, 3.2% of our 331M population.


What am I missing here?

So that’s 106,000,000 cases, or 32% of the population.... why the fuk don’t we shelter the vulnerable in place and go about our business? WTF

This is what I don't get. My aunt is a nurse and said her hospital has almost no covid cases.

Our province was supposed to expand hospital beds to 2000 dedicated just for civid 6 months ago. Now suddenly we are at 200 hospitalizations and we need to shut it down? That is 10% occupancy.

This whole thing is dumb.

My son and his drill partner on wrestling team both tested positive last Thursday. I got a test that day, negative. Youngest son was sick Saturday night, perked up Sunday. Then wife and I got mild symptoms Tues. Tested yesterday, awaiting results. So there is a slight chance I don’t have it but highly unlikely. She had a fever Tues night, broke in the morning, but she has slight vertigo, and lost sense of taste. She is O- blood type. I have had nasal congestion, headache, dry cough, no fever, but terrible night sweats, and no taste or smell.

the creator of that test for 40 years has said it wasn’t created nor designed for what it’s being used for. like hiv, humans have lived comfortably with what has been deemed coronaviruses for ages, these were chosen because the test can give the ridiculous false positives that are coveted. u should look into how pcr used ud get a good laugh. I’ve never had a doc inquire about environment when seeking diagnosis, but sometimes environment is everything.

its been going strong in the rural southern parts of the state since the end of summer. Then it started leaking across the northern and western borders from Iowa and Wisconsin the past month.

Its finally getting to Chicago but our county is still one of the lowest cases per 100,000 in the entire state.

but why not just do a two week quarantine, since you had close contact with someone infected. then your clients are safe. Then take the test after two weeks and hopefully you would test negative by then.

Dude that's 1 day of positives. If you figure people are positive for 2 weeks then multiple by 14. Almost 250k. And now realizing we are only catching 1 out of 3 or 4 of actual cases. In other words, there are likely close to a million walking around positive now. 1 out of 12. Get together in a group and odds are good you're gettin' exposed.
