The reality is that with interest rates as low as they are, it doesn't make much difference if you let the govt hold on to extra tax money for a few months. You won't have much return holding it in a savings account or money market. If you own a business, then this is a different story. But for non-business owning degens, it may be a good idea to let the IRS hold some cash for you for a little while.
Nah. Invest that return money in increments in a roth IRA throught the year. Never let the government hold your money interest free. They won't let you hold theirs interest free.

What is bad is after 3 years they keep yours but they can go back on you forever but they tell you 10. But I have seen a buddy that they have went back 14 years

Yep. If they come after yours, they are going to collect interest as well.

Yes, this is the way to go for sure. I should have elaborated that my statement applied to those that don't intend to invest this money for the long term--which is about 99% of the posters here.

How do you have a Roth? I wouldn't think you'd qualify. Must be doing Roth conversions?

When the hell did I ever say I would purchase an annuity?
I didn't. I asked you why annuities are bad. Because I know YOU DON'T KNOW.

I don't, just wanted to use that Trump line to troll. Was hoping that libtards would lose their shit and start praising Obama.
It didn't land. On to the next one.
