#5A harrowing defensive gun use was captured on home surveillance cameras last week. [Scroll down for video]
In the video, a group of would-be robbers attempted to rob a couple as they pulled into their garage in Brazil. The group can be seen approaching the garage just as the door was about to close. One suspect stopped the door and approached the vehicle.
When the driver’s side door opened, the suspect was greeted with a hail of gunfire from the driver. The suspect and his accomplices immediately fled. The suspect who approached the vehicle was shot multiple times and ultimately died of his injuries after fleeing the garage.

The robber(now deceased) looks like he actually did get a shot off as he was being fed lead.Comment -

#11the best one of these "rob the cops" stories happened somewhere in central tex, killien or maybe even near Wacko, when some thugs decide to rob a breakfast joint like Ihop or denny's, and come bustin in, only to find 40-50 cops holding some kind of monthly breakfast meeting......Comment -

#13trust me, even in texas, he starts poppin off again out the garage door, down they alley, he goes to jail..... unless I'm defending, then he'll get a pretrial diversion if it's his first offense (actual case), deferred adjudication if his 2nd crim offense; probation if his 3d

guess you could put it that way then
but if you asked him he would prolly tell you he's just happy to be alive
people get killed in armed robberies in Brazil a heck a lot more than they do here in the States
That fella did what he had to do to protect himself once others randomly came into his life to cause chaosComment -

Ultimately, different strokes for different folks.
But this guy obviously lives in fear and that sux. He's obviously taking measures to ensure his safety and it paid off but could you imagine always checking your six?
And imagine how his life has changed. He killed a man, thats gotta chamge a man. Especially because his fear has become realized.
In my book, thats a sucky life. And in hid book, he's probably happier than a fly on shit because he's alive. Even though it's a false dilemma to assume he was going to die or even that his life was in imminent danger. Could've just been a simple robbery but thats off topic and for another thread. Point being, he's happy with his life and I think it sux.
i used to carry a gun, had my CCL (everyone in Oklahoma did) and I was always a bit paranoid I'd have to use it. I would catch myself scanning or even just thinking about it because I had it. Since I've moved I tuck it away under my bed and feel much more liberated from an irrational fear.
For the record, I have no qualms with what he did. I'm a staunch advocate for concealed carry and always will be, even though I no longer carry. Lifetime NrA member. Got the hat to prove it and the non-stip spam phone calls dailyComment -

He acted pretty much the way I would expect a Brazilian cop to act. Considering how bad the crime is down there, it's probably not the first time he plugged someone.Comment -

Video proves why men should be armed and ready to defend themselves and family and you still think it's a bad idea to carry? You have so much conflict going on inside your head, you bleed of in-descion and that's what gets people killed is in-descion. The only way the event changed this man was he probably thankful to have had a peacemaker on his person, me personally i'd go eat a turkey sandwhich on rye bread, lightly toasted with tomatoes and never thought twice about the criminal again.Comment -

#31Wo, the crack is a lifetime NRA member? ya don't say? Well, we need clarification, is the NRA you speak of the: National Revolutionaries anarchist association or the: National Rifle association?

Actually, its quite the opposite as what you describe. I have no indecision. I am 100% completely content with my decision to no longer carry and I feel better for it. I will fight for your right for concealed carry. I am in no way opposed to handguns and own many but I carried out of fear. Fear that what happened to those cops would happen to me. The odds are astronomically against any of us ever being in a position where CC would save our lives. Look at the cop you posted, he had his gun, pulled it and still lost. But I would still fight foe your rights.
I chose to no longer let fear dictate my actuons even if in your eyes it means I might be killed in a robbery.
Intersting, The NRA touts how gun ownership amd carrying protects the owner and saves lives. As if they're concerned about the citizens. Yet I don't see them telling any of us to stop smoking, stop drinking soda, eat healthier, you know the shit that could save millions of lives. I inderstnad thst's not their platform but it's a great hypocrisy. The NRA is a money-grab just like you think global warming is.Comment -
