Easy - Was trying to figure out what to say to you pal. I've been in your shoes before. When I was younger... we all have that perfect image of what kind of girl we want in our lives 24/7. My friend was dating a diabetic and he told me what she has to go through every single day of her life. There were times that he was sleeping... and she'd start shaking like crazy because she injected herself with too much insulin. She needed sugar immediately etc. I was like man... (to myself) I don't ever want a girl like that. But 10 years later... when you witness all the BS in the world today... you're looking for a girl who loves you pal. It doesn't matter is she's handicapped, diabetic, or has no money etc... do you feel LOVE with her? And if she loves you... that's all that matters. Everything else in my eyes is irrelevant. Diabetus does not even neccesarily mean you are unhealthy. Jay Cutler is QB for the Chicago Bears and a world class athlete and he has diabettes too. I used to have a dog that had diabettes it wasnt even hard to care for him either... just gave him a shot with his meals.

Diabetes is actually considered a coronary artery disease equivalent, meaning it's every bit as bad for you as is heart disease.

IMO, it's the single worst disease. There are differences between type 1 and type 2 however. Type 1 is gentic, type 2 is a reault of lifestyle.

I accept the fact that with my way of eating style its inevitable and I will eventually become a diabetic myself but I'm hoping thats way down the road, If she had told me she was diabetic to begin with I would have never gotten involved with her to begin with.

People who have Type 1 are born with it and it doesn't come from being fat.

My brothers girlfriend has Type 1. She is really fit....cross fit crazy fit etc. She works hard at keeping her diabetes under control.

Been with her for 3 months and she never brought it up. We've gone out to eat several times and she never made a mention of it and always had desert. If I hadn't seen her shooting insulin this morning for her type 1 diabetes I might have never found out as she apparently had no interest in telling me. Even though I have not said anything to her I feel betrayed and think she should have told me about this much earlier. I am looking to end it with her at this point but I would feel awful about myself if I told her, her disease was the reason I'm breaking up with her. So do I need another excuse here or should I straight up tell her its over because she hid her diabetes from me?
