Seinfeld is my fav show of all-time but I though CYE sucked and barely could make it through a full episode. There were a few skits that were ok but not many.

dream on from the early 90s was funny as hell and had nude action as well.

Fun fact. The opening credits began with a TV set turning on to display nothing but static. This has since become the generic logo for all HBO Original Series.

Dream On was great, forgot all about that. The Larry Sanders Show was one of the funniest comedies ever and I also enjoyed Curb Your Enthusiasm very much, though it did stall occasionally where Seinfeld never did. Sopranos was terrific and will live in the annals as one of the greatest mob series ever. OZ was great too. I have to say Boardwalk Empire has left me a bit ambivalent. Generally I like it but I think Steve Buscemi makes a great character actor but only a middling leading man.

I completely forgot about The Larry Sanders Show, SJ. Great stuff. I'll have to get refreshed on that one.

I used to watch the toned-down, syndicated version as a youngster. It'd come on one of the local antenna channels late Saturday and Sunday night. Once I saw the HBO version a few times, I loved it even more.

I thought Curb was fine for what it was. I think people try to compare it to Seinfeld too much simply because of the Larry David connection. Curb just wasn't as over-the-top as Seinfeld. Seinfeld had Kramer and the Costanzas. How can you top that?
