Sounds like your sensitive to it. One problem is, unfortunately, is that you probably don't take them regularly, or daily, and that's good but it does wreak havoc on multiple systems, inlcuding the digestive.

if you take the regularly, those side effects will get better.

You could also consider something like docusate sodium, a non drug stool softener. Do not use a laxative.

Take the stool softener on days you need the pain medicine.
