Any pro fisherman out there? I'm talking saltwater Tuna, Wahoo, and Mahi Mahi fishing.

i'm just wondering can you sell fish for enough money to make a good living at it? or is the real money in winning tournaments , or chartering a boat ?

The people who are winning tournaments account for less than .01% of the people who make money fishing.
I don't think it will lead to a prosperous life, but you can make a living if you got the boat and all that.
If you are doing it as a job, it won't be as relaxing as taking 4 12 packs out with a buddy, and having a good time out at sea.

A little more difficult after dumbass BP dumped their shit oil in the Gulf of Mexico then covered it up like nothing ever happened. Don't believe BP's shitty commercials they're showing all over the country except for the Gulf areas about everything being okay now and that mermaids and happy fish are swimming in the gulf. The oysters are dead and so are the fish.

On Wicked Tuna we don't see the part where they sit out there for 10 days in a row, not catching shit. Those dudes are barely making middle class money.

Impossible. No fish these days. My friend has a boat and we go out maybe once a month targeting ahi, ono, mahi. I'd say 60% of the time is whitewash

Fuel is a huge cost. You will probably get a mile/gallon. Burn say 500 gallons on a 2-3 day trip. So that's like $2k right there
I always laugh when ultragreen environmentalist libs I know whine about someone leaving the tv on all day when there are commercial and sportfisherman out there

Almost impossible.
- Gotta have a ton of money to start
- Steep learning curve
- New blood not gonna be welcome with the old guard, making it even more difficult
- New sustainability measure always coming through the pipe to limit you even further

Go ahead, take your fishing boat out, you'll learn the term quickly.
