2. Added value placements ie. points, live odds added to increase traffic and establish upper tier in niche. Marketable to niche advertisers

3. Forum and information becomes marketable for parent company. Focus less on content more on marketing. Mailing lists, sale of information.

4. Attrition and turnover creates new market traffic more diverse demographics, youth. Value leaves "value added". Watered down points etc.

Kids are very impressionable/marketable.

The evolution of SBR and like sites is comparable to the mullet hairstlye.

Party at the back, business at the front. A passing trend. On to something else. Some hang around too long, some move on to more fashionable and marketable trends.
