1. Obama took on the name Soetoro while living in Indonesia
2. Obama's 'father' in Indonesia , Lolo Soetoro , was Muslim
3. Lolo Soetoro registered Barry/Obama in school as religion = Islam
4. Islam is a strong patriarchal religion

I don't frankly care, the whole point of my post is that people don't believe what Obama states his religion currently is, not what he may have practiced 40 years ago. If they don't believe what he states his religion is, its not a stretch to believe that they will not believe anything else he says regardless of whether or not its true. This in turn taints their whole view about the world as they will look unfavorably on any comment that he makes and be more likely to believe the position the side that isn't his takes. In a world of lots of grays this absolutely matters.
As for what you actually said though, Lolo Soetoro enrolled Barack in Catholic school. I highly doubt that a hardcore practitioner of Islam would do that. Barack then attending an Indonesian run state school, since Indonesia is highly Muslim, I am sure that he was taught Islamic customs, but Indonesia also has a lot of different religions and is pluralistic.Comment -

I did say what I think? I don't care what religion Barack Obama practiced then, and I doubt if he was a practicing Muslim, he was very religious at the time, since his step-father was not very religious and his birth father was an Atheist who was raised as a Muslim. Now I believe him that he is a practicing Christian, and I think that the fact that there a large segment of the population that either doesn't know his religious or doesn't believe him is very informative to the discourse.Comment -

well with my extra money that doesn't go to the scumbags ill stock up on ammo......there is no problem with helping the less fortunate, i make a good buck and donate to charity and that's fine, everyone should help if they can. however before paying teachers and firemen more and more and to allow these outrageous pensions to continue to grow is just impossible and thats my gripe...now way should a prick teacher get to retire at 55 and suck in 75k+ A YEAR for the next 30 years of life when the majority of the people that build this country are stuck working hard to pay for em...time for the mooching and abuse of the system to end....i work hard to make my money and busted my ass to get ahead and make a good buck and i just dont want to give it away to people who would use it for nothing more then booze and drugs and pissing away money....there's one charity that gets my money....ME and the ones I love..the rest can fuckin work for it
