#73I actually enjoy my work. It varies and I am well compensated. Would like to be retired by 50 but have to factor in possibly having to assist my father as he gets on in years and siblings who are working but struggling to maintain. I'm happy to help them if I can.
I would guess 60% of posters have real jobs. I subtracted all of the ghost accounts and tards like tt who live with their parents.Comment -

#80I actually have an alright job - travel Mon to Fri almost every week so that makes it tough but earn enough miles and points at hotels to take a couple really nice vacations a year for nothing and they pay me enough to make it worth it - so can't complain. Its funny, when I was in college I was betting $500 per game, now I make good money and rarely drop more than a hundo on a game. Way I look at it is if I can make a couple hundred a week gambling that pays for dinner with the wife, but I don't stress about it if I lose that much!! Am a much smarter and therefore more profitable gambler now for sure!!Comment -

#82John, you are heartless.
You rig the casino so that it "loses" 10 times as much as a regular casino... and then funnel the pts off into your acct... and turn those into **** gift cards so you can buy margaritas on the beach.
That's not work! That's what billionaires do. You thief!!!

I'm guessing jobless, since he thinks 99% of the time work = wasting your life, and he thinks that is a reality.
-Either that or he must not get paid, since the reality is, in order to buy some nice things for yourself, you normally have to work, therefore you would know that work isn't necessarily wasting your life/time.
-That or he's complacent with having nothing, then good for him.Comment -

#99I haven't had a job in over 10 years.
I had a few beers one night, nothing too much, and was driving my motorcycle home from a buddies. Lost control and had a pretty bad back injury. I managed to make it home and suffered throughout the night but I had a plan. See, if I had went to the hospital that night, I would've been screwed.
Anyways, I went to work the next day and when nobody was watching I poured some water on a few steps and then layed down at the bottom of the stairs. Eventually a lady walked by and "found" me. Filed a workers comp case, she witnessed that there was water on the steps and I was laying at the bottom. And won. Now I receive nearly 100% disability because of the injury when I wrecked my bike and just gamble most of the day.
Lifes good here. Back doesn't even hurt anymore but the doc still writes for oxy's
If this is true....and I doubt that it is....
Do you think it was good idea to post this information on the internet?
Whom ever is paying your 100% is likely not doing so blindly. There are case workers & adjusters that investigate this stuff.Comment -
