      HVAC-- sales and ownership

      40+ hours per week

Would rather just win every bet I make.

This is the field id pondered around for a while. My fear with this type of work is $25 bucks a hour is pretty much the max unless you open your own business. Not to mention for the most part you end up working for a small company with limited benefits. Whats your outlook on this career pathway? instead Ive started to look into other electrical trades like a journeyman lineman or a splicer, grounds worker.

For the most part, if you work on the field, this is true. Our top servicemen + installers get around $30 per hour with full benefits. I consider myself one of the lucky ones that was born into a 60+ yr family business... Went to school for sports management, then made the decision after I graduated to take over the family business (gradually) that I worked in my whole life. Ive gone back and forth... had a multi million dollar company in front of me, but it wasnt my passion.. Sports betting allows me to at least semi fulfill my passion, while also doing what seems financially best for my family.

My outlook on the profession is that it is very had work if you are going to be on the install side. The money is there if you can get into sales and management... if not, like you said, there is a ceiling around $25/$35 per hour (which dont get me wrong, isnt bad money for most). Did installation most of my life, and it is brutal work... working in hot attics and tight crawlspaces everyday isnt always fun.. but its hard respectable work.

The good thing about this business is that it will never go away... people will always need heat, hot water, and cooling.. So as with everything else, there are pros and cons I would say.

BOL with the route you chose

Thanks a lot Dlunc now i can cancel my counselor appointment tomorrow...nah lol. Im taking this mechanical and electrical certificate program to keep my options open in both fields. Most of the jobs im applying for fully train you but looks good to be going to school for the same thing. Good luck in your future ventures as well.

What if sports betting IS a steady job? It's all relative.

until you sound very serious, I worked a job years ago 16 hours a day 7 days a week .I did that for seven years. I did take an occasional break ,but thats the truth. I held 3 jobs when I was young I worked in a bakery , pizza rest. and drove cab. Later I bought the pizza rest. then a materials biz.,and construction co. I mostly build houses 400,000 to 700,000 dollars .I worked like an animal . Until create the type of biz. you like no love thats the only way the passion will come out. You will learn money is nice but power and success is even nicer. good luck.

                    I am on Obama Care.

Its ******* great. Free shit all the time and I can spend all my time at Walmart.

If I get sick I have free health care, Dont have to pay taxes and can stay on unemployment forever.

Its Awesome. Do you guys think he can stay Prez forever that way I will never have to work ?

Count me in as gainfully employed and half way to retirement, if the biz lasts that long.

Is collecting cans a steady job? Shopping cart full of them to the recycling depot, that's what us non-pros have to do to survive....

You will learn money is nice but power and success is even nicer. good luck.
Whoever isnt serious about their future has serious problems. I dont want to have to work a day past 45 if i dont have too. I dont need the finer things in life but having my house paid in full with a steady income streameith a million in assets is my goal.

ahh... so you don't plan on getting married and having children? and you plan to achieve this by the current career you mentioned above?

                                        very long shot

also, assuming you're 25 and you live in California, in 20 years time you will need a semi-automatic to walk down the street in California, lol. the difference between Cali of 1970, 1990 and 2010 ... it is mind-boggling. in 2030 the Cali cesspool created by Mexican immigration will be complete. the state will be in ridiculous turmoil (think Mexico)

since you have a solid head on your shoulders you will most likely move your family out of California due to considerations that are beneficial to your livelihood, your family's safety, the collapse of a properly operating society.... etc, etc.

undoubtedly you will look for the best options for your family... a solid economy, a safe environment where a society functions and people have manners and decorum.... but as the death of the West and the white man's culture continues to disintegrate, your options will be few. furthermore, by the time your kids are in their 30's the US will pretty much be like that C.Heston movie "Planet of the Apes"

you will have pockets of white folk living in serenity , with high walls and tight security - and the rest mostly no go zones unless heavily armed or with security of some sort

you will have pockets of white folk living in serenity , with high walls and tight security - and the rest mostly no go zones unless heavily armed or with security of some sort
ah yes, South Africa. thank you Nelson Mandela, lol. gots to love me some "necklacing"

I hear what you're saying. However, I think the lights out on the world will be progressively more bleak as the West comes to an end. Think of it as a clear white tablecloth spread out evenly across a table.

You spill some grape juice in patches across the table... so be it. Those areas are now forever purple and that part of the cloth is ruined. Now imagine that grape juice is trying to get to all of the clear parts of the tablecloth. Little by little the tablecloth begins to become a huge blotch of purple. And the more grape juice you pour on the table the more ferocious the waves of grape juice.... until the clear tablecloth is drenched in grape juice... or shall we say, "blood".

the more that civilized society disappears and is intruded upon, the faster it will disintegrate.

anyways, who cares about all that shit? as long as we can give illegals driver's licenses and we can emulate Haitian society, hey, all will be great.

I have had 3 different jobs in the last 7 years.
I worked for 8 weeks at one & another 12 weeks at another & I have been employed at my present job for over 2 years but havent worked there in the last 7 months. (long story)
I dont know which category I fall into?
Guess this is not considered a career & working for 17 months out of 7 years is not considered holding a steady job.
And to those who consider sports betting a career all I can say is that I thought I was a career masturbater in college but, I was only deluding myself.
Just because you like doing it & do it all the time doesn't make it a career! Even if you make a few bucks doing it.

                                                very long shot

also, assuming you're 25 and you live in California, in 20 years time you will need a semi-automatic to walk down the street in California, lol. the difference between Cali of 1970, 1990 and 2010 ... it is mind-boggling. in 2030 the Cali cesspool created by Mexican immigration will be complete. the state will be in ridiculous turmoil (think Mexico)

since you have a solid head on your shoulders you will most likely move your family out of California due to considerations that are beneficial to your livelihood, your family's safety, the collapse of a properly operating society.... etc, etc.

undoubtedly you will look for the best options for your family... a solid economy, a safe environment where a society functions and people have manners and decorum.... but as the death of the West and the white man's culture continues to disintegrate, your options will be few. furthermore, by the time your kids are in their 30's the US will pretty much be like that C.Heston movie "Planet of the Apes"
Didnt say it wouldnt be hard but it would be a goal. I want to buy a house cash in new mexico preferably. Nice place to live. All my family is from that area and i can get a 3bdrm 1400 sq feet is 90k. I agree with most everything you said but people also have to have goals and aspirations. I also dont plan to have kids until my late 20's but thats also subjective.

                                                    I haven't had a job in over 10 years.

I had a few beers one night, nothing too much, and was driving my motorcycle home from a buddies. Lost control and had a pretty bad back injury. I managed to make it home and suffered throughout the night but I had a plan. See, if I had went to the hospital that night, I would've been screwed.

Anyways, I went to work the next day and when nobody was watching I poured some water on a few steps and then layed down at the bottom of the stairs. Eventually a lady walked by and "found" me. Filed a workers comp case, she witnessed that there was water on the steps and I was laying at the bottom. And won. Now I receive nearly 100% disability because of the injury when I wrecked my bike and just gamble most of the day.
