those numbers aren't meaningless. over 2% of ncaa football games end in an 8 point margin of victory.
combine that with 9 and you're well over 3% of the games. and i didn't say it moved from 9 1/2 i said it moved from 10, and i didn't say it moved to 7 1/2 i said it moved to 7.
compare that with the # of games that land on 3 which is around 7% and landing on 7 which is 6% or so.

so a move from 10 to 7 is hugely significant, including pushes you're accounting for about 13% of the expected results.
