Nah, instead Jesus did really mundane things like feeding 1,000's of people with a few loaves of bread and a few fish, or turning water into wine, or, the most elementary of all, rising from the dead.

Actually, that's the point, Crazy. Everybody on both sides has faith in something that cannot be proven. People who put all their trust in science still have to answer the simple question, "How was the universe created?" with an I don't know. They don't know if it has always been (like we believe God has) or that it was created at some point (if so, something had to be created out of nothing -- neat trick). Both of these beliefs require "faith".
