I hope he comes through later on, but BJGE looked good last week. I used my #1 wavier pick on him. Oh well, it was worth a shot. I didn't really need him, but it would of been nice if he became a gem. He still can I guess, but doesn't look good. I was hoping he was this years Peyton Hillis. So far, it don't look like there will be one this year.

This week, Yahoo! Sports fantasy expert Brad Evans looks at eight intriguing fantasy football players, and a defense, likely to be available on the waiver wire in fantasy leagues. Strong Buy (10-teams plus)Week 5 near miracle against San Diego means Mile High Messiah is back, possibly for good
Tim Tebow(notes) (QB) Denver Broncos
When Tebow sprinted in from the sidelines in the third quarter of Sunday's thriller against San Diego, Broncos fans rejoiced, angels wept. Though he completed just 40-percent of his attempts, his 117 combined yards and two touchdowns (one rush, one pass) clearly showed the former Heisman's Cam Newton(notes)-like potential. Yes, John Fox's offense is significantly more conservative than Josh McDaniels', but Tebow, who was the No. 1 ranked QB in Fantasyland over the final three weeks of 2010, is very capable of QB1 numbers moving forward. Denver's pound-it approach and questionable defense will keep the passer very active. Fox hasn't officially demoted Kyle Orton(notes), but expect No. 15 to be under center Week 7 in South Beach after Denver's bye. Considering Miami's shortcomings against the pass, the Y! fantasy brass will surely have the upstart ranked inside the position's top 10. If you have a need at QB, Tebow is the answer to your prayers.

Strong Buy (10-teams plus)Samkon Gado(notes) All-Star is latest complete unknown to rise to prominence
Jackie Battle(notes) (RB) Kansas City Chiefs
Battle's 140-total yard explosion against the hapless Colts is yet another example of how production can come from the most unforeseen places. Just two months ago, the 28-year-old was a fourth-string running back whose primary duty was special teams. But one Jamaal Charles(notes) snapped tendon, a couple ineffective Thomas Jones(notes)/Dexter McCluster performances and one fan letter later, and the little known rusher now stands atop KC's backfield heap. Despite a practically nonexistent track-record, Battle is a skilled, fall-forward back with above average speed and versatility. Todd Haley will continue to employ a RBBC, but, after the Chiefs' bye in Week 6, the former back-up will get every opportunity to prove his mettle against fantasy's second-most generous run defense, Oakland (5.3 ypc to RBs). If he posts another eye-catching performance, he will officially stake his claim as the Chiefs back to own. Pluck him immediately in all formats.

Solid Buy (12-team leagues plus) Rumors of a possible Hillis trade means it's time to stash his talented back-up
Montario Hardesty(notes) (RB) Cleveland Browns
All isn't kosher in Cleveland. That is, according to Peyton Hillis(notes). The Madden coverboy, frustrated by a lack of movement on a desired long-term contract extension, has become a center of trade rumors. Though it's unlikely the Browns will ship him before the October 18 deadline, there's still a chance a deal could occur. Regardless, Hardesty could net an uptick in touches. In limited doses, the No. 2 has performed fairly well. Two weeks ago with Hillis sidelined by strep throat, he chipped in 86 total yards on 17 touches, averaging an impressive 4.8 yards per carry. Pat Shurmur said recently he's gotten too pass-happy, an admission which could pave the way for the back-up to receive more looks with or without Hillis. With the penetrable Raiders on the docket this week – Oakland has allowed the second-most fantasy points to RBs this year – he could post quality flex numbers on roughly 10-14 touches. Grab and stash.

Solid Buy (12-teams plus) Indy's rolling beer keg worth tapping in deep leagues with Addai possibly sidelined
Delone Carter(notes) (RB) Indianapolis Colts
Carter didn't exactly light up the fantasy scoreboard on Sunday, totaling just 34 yards on 13 touches (1.8 yards per carry) with a touchdown, but with Joseph Addai(notes) felled by a hamstring injury, the rookie is worth an audition in deeper leagues. Jim Caldwell will remain committed to a RBBC, but the 5-foot-9, 225-pound boulder is the best back in Colts blue. He's a bulldozing, short-yardage specialist who will continue to see action at the goal-line. Obviously, Indy sorely misses Peyton Manning(notes), but fill-in Curtis Painter(notes) has performed admirably over the past two weeks, establishing an strong bond with Pierre Garcon(notes). If the vertical tandem can continue to keep defenses honest, Carter, despite Indy's run-blocking issues, has RB2 upside long-term. However, this week, even if Addai sits, he's a flex option at best. The Colts travel to Cincinnati to face a Bengals defense that's surrendered 3.5 yards per carry to RBs.

Solid Buy (12-teams plus) Undrafted Stanford product smart money as WR4 in resource-strapped formats
Doug Baldwin(notes) (WR) Seattle Seahawks
The Stanford product may not be the next undrafted receiver to ascend to fantasy greatness, a la Wes Welker(notes) and Miles Austin(notes), but he's at least an intriguing commodity whose stock is on the rise. Credit to colleague Brandon Funston. On Sunday, the Yahoo! soothsayer predicted a breakout game for Baldwin against the Giants on "Fantasy Football Live." The rookie receiver delivered, hauling in eight receptions for 136 yards and a touchdown, his third 80-plus yard effort on the young year. Tarvaris Jackson(notes) and Charlie Whitehurst(notes) are completely unreliable at quarterback, but because Seattle will continue to be involved in numerous shootouts due to issues on pass defense, the big-play receiver should net a substantial workload moving forward, especially with defenses focused on stopping Sidney Rice(notes). Owners with unexciting options at WR3 should give him a look.
Jason Avant(notes) (WR) Philadelphia Eagles
Over the first several weeks, Michael Vick(notes) has been a quarterback under constant attack. Nearly beheaded several times, he's routinely pulled his battered and bruised body off the turf. Wisely, it appears the coaching staff has devised a solution to help ease the constant pressure – underneath passes to Avant. Over the past two weeks the slot receiver's workload has increased significantly, totaling 18 targets, 15 receptions and 208 yards, including a 139-yard explosion at Buffalo. His two critical turnovers in the Wing City marred his career day, but it's clear his expanded presence in the offense likely won't be diminished anytime soon. Matched against the rival Redskins in Week 6, expect him to tally around 4-6 receptions and 55-75 yards, a fine WR3 line in PPR formats.
James Jones(notes) (WR) Green Bay Packers
Outside usual suspects Greg Jennings(notes) and Jermichael Finely, it's hard to discern just who will step up in the Green Bay receiving corps each week. After all, Aaron Rodgers(notes) connected with 12 different targets in Sunday's win at Atlanta. Jones, who was largely absent over the first four weeks, was one of them. The long-bomb threat grabbed a season-best five catches for 140 yards and a touchdown. Many will shrug off his one-week explosion, but the odds of him again posting top-30 numbers are strong this week against St. Louis. Minus starting corners Bradley Fletcher(notes) and Ron Bartell(notes), the Rams are very thin at defensive back. Rodgers should have no difficulty spreading the love downfield. On the season, St. Louis has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to WRs. Jones is indeed very hit/miss, but based on the friendly matchup, he's highly employable in challenging formats given the bye-heavy week.

Solid Buy (12-teams plus)Week 6 QB Plug n' Play
Sam Bradford(notes)St. Louis Rams
Green Bay's secondary play, compared to last season, has dropped off dramatically. One of the league's stingiest unit's last season, the Packers have welcomed quarterbacks with open arms and missed tackles, yielding 318.6 passing yards and 2.0 passing touchdowns per game, equal to the fourth-most fantasy points. The Rams, once a trendy playoff pick, are heading in the wrong direction fast. Severely depleted in its defensive backfield and sorely missing Danny Amendola(notes) on offense, St. Louis is riddled with holes. The former, though, greatly benefits Bradford's fantasy prospects. Look for the Packers to build an insurmountable early lead, taking the gas off the pedal late. As a result, Bradford, similar to what Kyle Orton accomplished two weeks ago against Green Bay, should rack plentiful points in garbage time. Philip Rivers(notes) zealots looking for a one-week wonder should toss the former No. 1 pick a line. Based on the matchup and anticipated in-game script, he is capable of 260-280 yards and 2-3 TDs.

Buffalo Bills Defense/Special Teams
In the Battle of the Empire State, the Bills D could be the surprise story. "Giving" best describes the New York Giants on offense. So far this season, Eli Manning(notes) has been sacked 14 times, the fifth-most in the league. Collectively, the Giants have committed several miscues, turning the ball over nine times, two of those leading to defensive touchdowns. The Bills haven't collapsed the pocket well this season, tallying just five sacks, but have done a masterful job in downfield coverage. Their 12 interceptions leads the NFL. Because of Eli's propensity for forcing passes into impossible windows, George Wilson(notes) and company are a solid gamble capable of top-10 numbers for the third straight week.

Im really tripping on who to start Starks or Daniel Thomas? The rams run defense is horrible im thinking starks should finally have a great game.... However in the two game thomas played he was pretty badass getting 18,20 carries. And its a monday night game against the jets...In which could be pretty tough being he is coming back from injury. AHHH yea Im leaning starks but I dunno.... My other RB is Arian Foster which even against Balty ive gotta start him... Thx fellas any input will help.

I don't see Grant "killing it" at all this season. Even though Starks should have a good day, I will go with the safer RB in Thomas. He is the starter there.
Good luck.

Top FA players:
RB - Cadillac Williams
RB - Danny Woodhead
WR - Davone Bess (I dropped him last week for Ridley)
WR - Doug Baldwin
WR - Jabar Gaffney
WR - Greg Little
WR - Dane Sanzenbacher
WR - Mike Sims-Walker
WR - Early Doucet (I think he leads the league in targets)
WR - Lee Evans
If I was to drop Stevan Ridley, who should I pick up? Not much out there, and I could use some RB depth.
Or should I pick up my week 9 QB Bye replacement?
Top projected Week 9 QB scorers:
QB - Colt McCoy
QB - Tarvaris Jackson
QB - Curtis Painter
QB - Andy Dalton
QB - Rex Grossman
QB - Alex Smith
QB - Matt Cassel
Or is there anyone out there that might not be picked up that could explode in the next few weeks? Some under the radar player? I can't think of anyone.
