make a thread regarding "the sportsbook box is blank"...

and 2 or 3 MODS jump right in...

    make a thread regarding this...

and no one is to be found...

    poor business in my opinion...

Even though the sportsbook cash is gone, it's still worth renewing...you don't need to use a NEW book to renew as the admins already said before. You just have to have $200 in the book that you used to become PRO.

I got three target GC and I sold them online for 41.50 each, so theoretically every 1060 pts is worth 40 bucks, thats not that bad but I do miss the freeplays and I probably wont be renewing my pro membership if they dont come back

because giving free sportsbook cash and freeplays is not gambling

I understand what your saying....but in order to purchase sportsbook cash and freeplays you have to become a pro....and to become a pro they want you to deposit....thats where it could get hairy.....but I totally understand why they took them away....not worth the risk

The question about sportsbook cash and freeplays for US members is voiced by posters all throughout the thread below but the only answer to this question was given in post #43

because giving free sportsbook cash and freeplays is not gambling - its only gambling when people risk real money to win real money and since nobody playing in the sbr sportsbook is risking any real money then its impossible to lose any real money hence that makes it not gambling but it is officially considered a "contest" or "sweepstakes" which (hopefully) everybody knows is perfectly legal in all 50 states.....2 good examples are the websites "centsports" and "freesportsbet" - like sbr they give their players free "virtual money" to play with but unlike sbr they will give you real money in the form of a check which is all totally legal since you cannot make any cash deposits on either site which that makes it impossibe for anybody to lose even a penny so sbr should go the same route with us americans by sendind us a check or gift card that we can convert into cash but in the UIGEA it clearly states "that it is illegal for american institutions (banks , credit unions , etc.) to allow deposits and withdraws between its customers and offshore sportsbooks in the form of cash under any currency" so where is sbr breaking the law? the answer is nowhere and heres why...........

                      1. sbr is not an american financial institution
2 . sbr does not allow deposits and withdraws of any kind between them and their members in the form of cash under any currency
                      3. sbr does not allow its players to risk any "real" cash of any currency whatsoever

in conclusion - sbr does not need to waste their time and money consulting with any lawyers since they have a legal non-profit cash-free sportsbook also they have contests and sweepstakes where everyone has a chance to win points and prizes that can be cash or have cash value without any chance of losing 1 red cent and sportsbook cash&freeplays are legally considered prizes so please sbr give us beaten and trampled americans our cash-free chance to win our legal sportsbook cash&freeplay prizes back AND also give us an option to receive a check or gift card redeemed for cash if some of us dont trust any sportsbooks (beted rings a loud bell) with the free&legal virtual cash&freeplays that we win from the sbr sportsbook & sbr contests & sbr sweepstakes .God help us all

SBR John did address this in post #43 in the thread about changes to the point program in August. I'd put a link but I'm posting from my cell phone.
Long story short...nothing new, they will let us know when there is.
I take that to mean you won't see sportsbook cash for US players any time in the near future (or ever).

I'm very suspicious about SBR Lawyers looking into this.

I don't even think they have been consulted.

There is absolutely no risk, and SBR is not cutting us a check, and SBR certainly is not a financial institution.

Any real lawyer would have figured this out in less than 1 day. Yet it is taking months....and no response?

                                I smell BS.

Yeah, I really hope it will come back. Once again, certainly can't complain, SBR is giving us free points which can be used to a nice variety of things. But it's still sad how the items with the clear best value for one's points are off limit to us, especially considering that sportsbook $ is the most natural thing to award for a site which does what SBR does!
