I hear you bro! So it looks like if you're not qualified for the WSOP final, you're pretty much fuk'ed for this Ryder cup thing too! I've played every day too and finished 5th one fuk'in time! The main problem is you've got greedy point happy bastards who live on sbr who've already qualified and are just playing for points. And since they're already in the final, it doesn't matter to them shoving all in with off suited bullshit cards, and with the way this fuk'ed up software is configured, most of time the lucky bastards end up hitting on the river as usual!
Had SBR been more intelligent about the qualifying tourneys, they wouldn't have allowed players who are already in to keep playing in so many daily tourneys. You could've ran qualifiers for players not yet in and had some type of side games or tourneys for people already in the WSOP playoff. Like you said VI, the same fuk'in people are getting the better cards day in and day out! Plus as was stated earlier, not everyone can play every day, so the same fuk'in people who spend every waking moment here are the ones winning most of the qualifier tourneys. Same fuk'in bullshit as usual, and have you noticed that now they're not showing (on the list of people who are in), who got in based on previous top 3 winners already qualifying.Comment -

#149I have played poker and blackjack for a living for about 3 years of my life, I currently play about twice a week at various casino's mostly at the Grey Eagle off Glenmore Trail. As soon as I had my son I quit gambling for a living to have a secured income, I am a leisure gambler now but I am the best capper and poker player on this site. I am 1-7 in my super ultra non locks of the millenium. I have a 15 inch dick too.
Oh man.

#150I think that using final tables from May qualifiers is a good method for selecting players, but then again, I'm biased.
I don't think using that one Saturday tournament to select players is a good method.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

#157Could we get an unambiguous answer about how teams will be picked? If you are saying it will be based solely on the 500 main main event, you might as well pick at random. One tournament means nothing, especially one of that size. Chances are good that 34-35 of the 36 will not be well known players, and may not even show up, if you do that.Comment -

#158Actually correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the Ryder Cup selects the top players for each team based on recent play.
There are a lot of guys battling it out every day in the WSOP daily tourneys. Seems to me they should be rewarded for their effort. Course we could pick a couple at large based on post count. That would follow Ryder Cup tradition.
If your going to do at large players they should be chosen by the players on the team. Using poster count could/will put bad poker players on here solely due to their post count.
Let the people that are actually going to be competing decide who will be their at large representative. Maybe the guy who had the highest standing or whatever as a captain who gets input from other competitors.
Just my opinionComment -

#166still ... would have been great to let us know that at the beggining of the qualifiers ... some people did not play a lot of tournaments after they earned a place for the WSOP Qualifier ... some (non-US) did not try too much cause even if they win the WSOP ticket they might not be able to go there cause they need a US Viisa and will not be able to get it in time ...
... but it's a new contest from SBR and that is great ...Comment -

For now we are using point winnings from tournament play. So you need to be 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Those are the spots that get paid. Weights nicely too giving the most for 1st place finishes.Comment -

#170My opinion is that Downsouth's May leaderboard contest should give you a good start on who should be selected. Anybody who signed up for that (and for June's) should at least be given due consideration as they are prepared to put pts on the line to win against the best of the regular players.
I am sure there are quite a number of good players who did not play on the leaderboard contest for various reasons but at least that list should be considered as potential open and public starting point for the team building.
I will be out all day so I hope I do not miss the announcment/signup.
Cheers and good luck to all!Comment -

#174Oh so now sbr should give special consideration to people who signed up for a separate fuk'in contest with a 50 pt entry fee? Yeah that's real fuk'in fair!Plus this idiot downsouth wasn't even monitoring the results so he could properly credit the winners. You run a fuk'in contest, run the shit right.
Face it, you have no shot at this unless SBR gives you a charity spot because you posts alot. Poker results you have 0% chance.
The only "Cup" in your future involves two dudes.
The only way this will be fair in your eyes is if they pick you and Ive played with you a few times...You suck, you play passive, you play marginal hands out of position, you limp when your stack has no business doing anything but shoving, you min bet when there are multiple draws on the board that can beat you. You play these tourneys like garbage. YOu may be the best cash player of all time but you play these tourneys like a donk. You may know the rules and what hand wins (which probably puts you above half the field) but when you play with other people that have a clue you are shit. Get over it. SOrry but its the truth.
Hey and if there was an SBR poker conspiracy don't you think they would allow people like you to win since you are constantly point broke and a sorry degenerate. Why allow people that save their points and actually buy stuff to win?
Now if you wanna tell me I suck fine. I have plenty of SBR success and a good sharkscope profile for stars and tilt that says otherwise if you wanna get into a pissing contest.Comment -

#175ok well it's obvious I'm out of consideration. I spent the first 2, maybe 3 weeks of this tourney set not able to play because I was a non pro. This last week Ive played almost daily but never more than a FT appearance. Played good solid in position poker, folded if I missed the flop kind of rock poker. But I can say due to the crappy RNG here I never cashed.
In the 30 mans in April I final tabled everytime I played, and won 1st I think 3-4 times. But I can see how I'm a horrible player who doesn't deserve to make the team due to these current stipulations. I'm a mega-donk who gets it all in with a flopped top set, what a idiot I'am I should know the runner runner flush thats less than 5% is going to hit 100% of the time. But that's why I'm always to be a fish.
Yup give me AA, KK, or even QQ I'll put it in against 22, or 44, or even 77 all day only to *and rightfully so lose to the better hand that flops quads on me..Comment
