Yee as a gambler Im more than happy. As well as being more fights there might be more bettin options available for Strikeforce events such as props (Fight of the Night, etc... on all main card fights and not just the main event and co-main event).

I hope so but am not convinced... They bought SF on the cheap which indicates to me that they weren't doing all that well to me. This looks like a talent aquisition buy to an eventual fold-in with the UFC a couple years down the road.

Really if SF is selling for 40 mil they can't be making much off their events. If UFC is keeping the same model, well... I guess we have to wait and see what happens.

Your problem is you need your MMA dumbed down. One of those guys who doesn't appreciate ground skills. You don't see a spectacular KO, then you automatically say the fight was boring. I'm sure you are big fan of guys like Lawler, Lidell, Manhoef, Daley and Rogers. I guess we'll see if your boy can even make it through this field of decent Strikeforce heavyweights. I will gain new respect if he can get by Werdum, Barnett, and Kharitonov/Silva. Until then, I will continue to believe he is overrated based on the fact he has basically one significant MMA win in the last half decade.

He has also been on the wrong end of KOs against BJJ specialists and had poor submission defense and not very good off his back. He's good but not elite IMO.

I never said he was my hero. I stated n many threads that his jaw was suspect. But Allistair is a different fighter today. About thirty pounds heavier than that Sergei fight. His striking has greatly improved. That is a very skinny ubereem back then. Guy is now a steroid monster.
