People who don't regularly bet tennis, always assume the sportsbook's listed time is going to be the start time. Start times vary greatly after the first match on court.

He was going by what his book listed. Nothing wrong in that if you're not aware of the order of play. Roch never said he was a regular tennis bettor. He said he had 'strong info'.

people aren't suckers or degenerates, the psychological state is one of not wanting to miss out on a freebie. I will discipline myself and learn to miss out on these freebies, as they are more than likely just hopefull bets based on small leans like we all use anyway.

That's the problem with threads like these though ... people who don't know the first thing about tennis betting or whatever sport a pick like this might be made on jump blindly on picks when someone mentions something as veiled as "strong info" that this wins. I personally think it's wreckless to post these sort of threads without a legit reason, but it's also just as wreckless without personal knowledge of a pick to blindly tail anything like this. I'm fine with the loss because I picked this yesterday on my own opinions, but even though they deserve it for tailing ... still feel somewhat for the people who tailed.

As I said before, this thread smells a bit of adding to SBR traffic today by being posted in Player's Talk and that's a little disgusting to me.

I don't thing the problem originates with being right or wrong. It was not billed as a lock, but again the "strong info" tag on this and all threads like it should be disregarded by anyone unless it is legitimized by actual information. Otherwise, it's a 100% guess and as good as me saying I have strong info that jjgold is getting laid today. Who wants odds on that hitting?

what many people dont realize is that outside the top 40 or so players, when you add in the price of hotels, equipment, travel etc you are not making much money. Add in that it is a 1 on 1 sports where one player can easily affect an outcome and you have the perfect market for fixing.
