Think John can arrange a swim suit contest in Costa Rica to find the 2011 SBR girl and have the finalist do a photo shoot for a calender. Maybe have a contest for members that are going to see who can be a judge.

Also will SBR be adding condoms to the store so nobody catches something.

advice for non pro would be to save up your points as for sure some might be needed. Last year 25 was needed but I expect more like 100 this year. If one of the first fifty to sign up, all 50 pro or non were reinburst $300 for travel. All that went recieved free hotel besides golf & poker plus alot more like dinner party. Everything should be same weather pro or not but unknown until rules published.

Jaco is one hell of a party town. Beach, surf, babes, casinos and everything else you can think of. It would be almost criminal not to stay a couple of extra nights.

CR in general is out of this world. Volcanos, cloud forests, wildlife preserves...anyone that has the time should look at booking a couple of weeks and travel around the country.

I'm stoked. I was supposed to go to Vegas this weekend....but I sent my wife and her mother instead. I stayed home with our 3 yr old daughter. I'm not going to lie.....the little girl is absolutely the pleasure of my life, but 72 hours straight with a 3 year old will drive you completely batsh*t!!

Anyways, this is my tradeoff for justifying spending 5 days in Costa Rica......alone......in August!

No idea about horse wagering, but I would imagine so. I was just at one of the casinos Saturday night/Sunday morning, but I'll find out next time I go and post here.

The temperature pretty much stays in the same range year-round. We just have a rainy season and a dry season. We're in the dry season now until around May/June. October is supposed to be the worst month out of the year for the rain, then it starts dropping off, and is dry season again.

As for August - it'll be hot and sunny, but it'll rain maybe an hour in the early afternoon. It's rather refreshing actually.

Nah, not like a mini vegas. Near the airport, there's a few decent casinos. In downtown San Jose, there's 3-4 more casinos. Then there will be small casinos at some beach towns. For instance, at the hotel at the beach where the bash will be at (Marriott Los Suenos), that hotel will have a small casino. Beach towns aren't really known for gambling. San Jose is where the casinos are at.

There's a little area in downtown San Jose that the Americans have named 'gringo gulch' (taxis won't know where it's at if you tell them to take you to the gulch - it's just a nickname that gringos know about). It's maybe a 3-5 block radius, and it's pretty much ground zero for whatever you want. You can satisfy every last one of your vices in that area.
