Will Vegas take a Million Dollar bet on the Superbowl?

Ivey had $4m on the Heat ML earlier this season and LOST...

The books will easily take a 1mill bet and just get in and do paperwork and work the otherside to make easy $.
1mill on a superbowl bet should be somewhat standard this days with all the high rolling gamblers we now have.
I would guess there is somewhere in the range of 5-15 $1million dollar wagers on the superbowl this year

I read something a few years back that someone some Hollywood stars routinely bet $500k on superbowl, and that bets that large usually have to be approved by casino president.

I'm not sure what the pic of Ivery tells you. His demeanor tells you absolutely nothing about whether he had a winner or loser. He bets so much money so often that he isn't like a fan who gets all flipped out. He gets paid $10s of millions a year from Full Tilt plus wins millions playing poker. A mill or two on a game ain't nuttin but another bet to Phil. Don't kid yourself he could just as well have had the winner.

LAL vs Bos NBA finals , Ivey took Bos to win the series @ +185 for a million.But overall I have heard/read of him losing more million dollar bets then he has won it would seem.

I think more then twenty people will be betting 1m this year in vegas.

This is sily, they take tons of mil bets. If anybody watched the French open...yes the french open, the announcers almost ever match were talking about a guy betting a million just about every match. If this were 1975 1 mill might be alot for a whale but now a days as the rich get richer this isn the same. I bet in the next 10 years we start hearing about 10 mil bets.

He's super loaded. The original Full Tilt guys bought shares for around 100K each, this 100K is what Mike Matusow refers to as 'the biggest mistake any human could make in 100 lifetimes', he didn't have it and didn't think it was worth borrowing for. The shares are now rumored to be worth somewhere around $1.7M/mo. Ivey was given two more shares at the inception as a finders fee for bringing the person who ultimately put up all the startup costs and initial marketing.

My cousin was a dealer at Merv Griffins casino in the Bahamas (years before Atlantis) many years ago (I think around 20) an Arab Shiek came in to play blackjack at his vip table. He bet a million one hand, lost, bet another mill the next hand lost that too. He then bet 4 million, doubled down... won, for a profit of 6 million. TO THIS DAY... he's never cashed the check. True story. He probably just framed the check for his office or something. My cousin told me that the guy made millions every day sitting on oil. Crazy

What year? I'm pretty confident that Ivey bet on the Lakers in 2008. And the odds on that series were Lakers -125 for the series. I don't think Phil bets against the Lakers very often.

I heard on the news that this year not as many $100,000+ bets were put down, the books would have liked to see more. Probably because the spread was so close. Cash Money Green and Yellow got paid (for the song and the bet!)
