lee is best friends with CC. there wife's are close and the kids hang out together from there CLE days. When yanks came close to getting him in july lee's wife was on phone with cc's wife talking about apartments.

IMO its a done deal that he comes to NY regardless if they win or lose

This sorta sums it up for me. It's getting a bit out of control. The Yankees got the three of the higher rated prospects in Teixeira, CC, Burnett (Teix and CC being #1 and #2)

It just eventually turns boring. You can root against the Yankees all you want like we are right now with them playing against Texas, but in the end, a Yankees win may actually be better for other organizations chances of ever winning in the future. If they lose to Texas this year, you bet your ass they are going to do everything they possibly can to add Lee to their rotation in fear that he will end up on another AL contender. They in the WS... perhaps Cashman's bloated little head thinks he already has a team that can win without Lee. Either way, the Yankees spending is a bit over the top.

In texas you dont have to pay any state income tax, if the rangers and yankees offer him even money my guess is that he will resign with the rangers, especially if the rangers beat the yankees and go to the world series

He isn't going to be wearing pinstripes next season. That I guarantee. He will get a deal done to stay with the Rangers. he likes the camaraderie of his teammates and likes the direction the Rangers are headed.

Now Josh Hamilton? He could very well be wearing pinstripes next season. Don't know if the Rangers will be able to afford him after signing Lee.

I hope he doesn't go to the Yanks. Angels or Red Sox would be OK.
