Will Cliff Lee get the biggest pitching contract ever?
I think so!
CC Sabathia will be the #2 man in the Yankees rotation next year!

Of course the Yankees will leave CC #1 in the regular season, but by the playoffs next year, Lee will be #1

CC will still be the #1. let me see Lee do it in NYC before he becomes #1.

I don't know if he's gonna be a Yank, but if Lackey got a 80 million deal for 5 years, what would be a fair contract for Lee?

Imagine if he pitches for the Mets?
He would have an incredibly low ERA pitching in that stadium!

Exactly!
But I'm wishful thinking since I'm a Mets fan!
Maybe the new GM can change things, but those Jewish owners are surely Jewish!

Lee was in the Expos system.
He got traded to Cleveland with Grady Sizmore and Brandon Phillips for Bartolo Colon.
Best deal ever!

If he goes into Yankee Stadium and shuts them down, the Yankees MUST give him a blank check!
They would fear him signing with another AL contender!

Why my Bosox payded for Lackey? kick him out and bring Lee! We'll have more wins against yankees! Bucholtz - Lee - Lester! Is that possible?

Red Sox can't compete with Yanks for a player unless Lee doesn't want to be a Yankee.
Red Sox should focus on fighting for Crawford/Soriano since Paps will be gone, maybe to Angels.
Yanks get Lee hopefully.

can't see Lee becoming a yankee especially if he beats them in this series, why move to a team that you just manhandled. Lee doesn't seem like a guy thats dieing for a record breaking deal, he'll get a lot of money whether he wants it or not, but can't see him on the yanks.

Yanks will have to pay a lot more for him because of NY state taxes and cost of living, unless he just really wants to be a Yankee and have a better opportunity at winning!

if the rangers lose this series, he becomes a yank next year. if they win the series i see them winning it all and he won't need to go to new york for a ring.

hes gonna resign in texas, he lives in arkansas, he wants to be close to home; as long as the rangers pay somewhere near what the yanks offer and dont completely lowball him, Texas can pay less and still get him

Hope he doesn't go to the Yanks. He means more in Texas than he would in New York.

first, lee will not be in yankees uniform..... even if he signs with yankees and yankees give him a blank check like you said(huge contract), I can totally see how he's going to under performe and all the media will say how yankees waste their big chunk of money on lee.....

Nolan Ryan is going to get Lee re-signed.
Listening to Nolan Ryan on Sirius this morning------it sounds like the numbers have already been worked out----just need the off-season to get his signature on it.
