I'm sure it won't be based on the amount of money you actually make. It will be something standard for everyone to make it easier. For example, and single people who make less than 80k will get x amount. All couples with no children who make less than 110k will get x amount.

A few years back, I was supporting my mother. She can't work, but this was before she was willing to admit it and get on disability. I tried everything to get some help. Food stamps...anything...I was just trying to keep us fed and sheltered...but no...a single female making $20K a year (total) should apparently be able to support herself and another adult.

You're the target demographic. A person like my self is screwed. I make too much money even married. I expect to be called rich by the democrats in congress when they get around to taking back the tax breaks that I really should not of had the last 6 years.

I mean, if they want to stimulate the economy, why not give more money to the people that will go spend it instead of saving it for stupid kids and their college funds?

I heard up to $800 for single tax people and $1,600 for married couples. I just think they need to get the gas prices down and that will help also. At least anything is better than nothing though and the economy is getting bad right now anyways.
