        I actually AM planning on paying off debt...depending on how much I get. It should be a hefty return with all of my deductions. However, I am in desperate need of a new couch and my windshield is cracked (to the tune of $375). Once those things are taken care of, yes, I'll be paying down debt.

          Understand what you're saying, DL, but the feds actually are hoping that NOBODY stashes this in the bank. They want it to be turned right back into the economy. Paying down a credit card would work ok for the plan since most folks, once they do pay a card down, will just go right out and charge some more.
