    There be different ways....

    in the husk
    in aluminum foil
    straight on the grill
    etc.

Last night I stripped it naked, put it on the gas BBQ on high ( right on the grate), brushed it with olive oil , cooked it about 9 minutes turning occasionally. This way sort of blackens the kernals a tad ( Cajun style ?). I added salt, pepper, butter to taste. It was good !

    Any other ideas ?

In the winter I usually boil it in a plastic bag in the microwave.

    I'm open to ideas....

It's too good to pass up at like 25 cents an ear.

plastic bag in the microwave is the best way imo but for grill nights remove the silks, leave the husk, soak in cold water for 20 mins and grill for about 20 mins

I like to first get it fresh off of the stalk from some menonite bastards that grow the shit around my neighborhood, then I dump it in a 5 gallon bucket of water for around 5 to 30 minutes. The time is really arbitrary due proportionally to my drunkeness to hunger ratio. Then I stick the entire husk on the pre-warmed grill that is 275 degrees for around 15 minutes.

Try using a combo of olive oil/grapeseed oil if you do that..........the grapeseed oil can withstand the higher temps better.

I like to BBQ after pullng the husk down and then pulling the husk back on and then wrapping it in foil............on the side of the grill.

Depends on where you live..........where you live this time of year, not needed.

you should soak the corn in water if you want a better end result. And dont wrap it in foil if you are going to leave the husk on.

I dip my corn on the cob in coconut milk for 4 hours. Then I put in on the grill over aluminum foil with holes so it will vent. When is nice and crisp I eat it. Delicious!

pull the husk back, pack it with alot of butter & salt, pull husk back around it, grill for about half hour on low to medium.

sometimes I just put it directly on the grill & get it brown, peel it off the cob, put it in a cup with sour cream & put grated parmesan cheese on top. Thats how they do it in Mexico. good shit

I'm going to try that way tonight, 30 minutes seems a bit long, though ! I might modify to increase heat and shorten time while doing burgers.

Husk, low heat/upper rack, little lemon juice and black pepper, light butter when they come off and then sealed in foil for a few minutes while they're warm. Try it.

pre-boil the lobster for a couple minutes, then drop it in an icebath to stop the cooking. Have your grill hot around medium heat, cut the lobsters in half lengthwise and put your butter/seasoning on. Grill meatside down for about 4 minutes then 4 on the other side but this really depends on your grill. If you dont parboil it as they say, you will have to cook longer on the grill and is little more risky, the meat can get tough real quick.

I started them on the bottom rack for about 10 minutes. Then I threw them up on the top rack when it was time to put the steaks on the grill. It doesnt take long to make steaks, not when you are making them the right way: rare. So total time for corn was probably 15 minutes or so in the bbq. came out great.

I don't much like steak at home. Wife has a knack for ruining it, and I can't do that much better. I think that is best at restaurants....like a nice filet mignon....restaurants seem to have the proper stuff to cook it to 750 degrees or whatever.
