Patriots: What's up w/ the QB situation?

    1) Is Belichick showing signs of senility?

    2) Did he have grounds for pulling Jones in the MON nite game?

    3) How could he NOT go back to Jones for the Jets game?

I think either Mac Jones or Bailey Zappe will start. Maybe Brian Hoyer.

    I'm hearing Dew Bledsoe.

Seriously, Cowherd earlier reported it's Jones, ESPN is backing that up, Captain Cheeseburger say's maybe.

Following Monday's 33-14 loss to Bears in which Jones was pulled after three series, coach Bill Belichick declined to confirm a starting QB for the Patriots' Week 8 game against the Jets, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

After the game belichick claimed both knew they would share playing time. Don’t think Jones got that message

i think you have to go to Jones first cause Zappe did not carry them to a win. he gave a flash that lasted like a quarter against the bears but then nothing in 2nd half.

    No.

Yes, of course. Mac sucks. Zappe not the answer. They'll need to move on next season.

To think, not long ago most people thought Mac would be a better player than Justin Fields. People are just horrible at projecting. All they can do is look at stats and draw immediate conclusions.

I have seen you post about your affinity for Cowherd before....surprised you like that blowhard so much...he thinks he is the smartest guy in the room.

I used to like him back in the day but his ego got too big.

On top of that he basically works for a few athletes promoting them.

Belichick using the new strategy of a 1, 2 QB punch.
"It works with RBs, why not QBs?" -Bill (in his head)

I think you're right about that. He did it with Bledsoe/Brady. In his mind, what's the difference?

Thx for all the responses. Appreciate it.

Cowherd can be a major blowhard at times, the thing though is most times it's 'tongue in cheek'
But yeah, he has blowhard tendencies, but he doesn't take himself too seriously and he does poke fun at himself.

He's nowhere near the megastar that Howard Stern is, but their styles have similarities, unlike Stern, Cowherd always keeps it PG13 rated, with the possible exception of that crack he made about Dominican's, which really wasn't that harsh in context, and ESPN being ESPN Cowherd fell victim to their cancel culture.
(You ever notice that most of the former ESPN talent winds up at Fox Sports)

Like Stern Cowherd knows how to pull in listeners even if you don't like him.
I personally dislike Stern, but give him mad props for his self marketing (self promotion) skills.

This is what I really like about Cowherd, he's articulate, he's a wordsmith, not to the extent that Costas is, but nobody is.

He's on top of most everything, he is very smart.
Most importantly, he amuses me, I like to be amused.

What I dislike about Cowherd is, he can't know what's going on all at the same time so he relies on a circle of people he trusts, and treats their opinions as gospel, which isn't always the case.

It's all subject anyway, nobody is right or wrong if you dislike or like him.

I think one piece of his arrogant growth was when his nfl dart tosses: “blazing 5” had a couple hot years. last year he was awful and he is barely above .500 this year. I don’t like to root for anyone to lose, but cowherd I make an exception
