    Mets fire Luis Rojas

Like the injuries are all his fault. I really hate to see young managers getting fired without giving them a chance to grow in the job and learn what works and what doesn't.

I said the same thing when the Angels fired Ausmus after only 1 year. What good did bringing in Maddon do? 4th place finishes both of his years.

A manager can't pitch or hit. If players are useless the manager is doomed.

Anyone who followed Mets this year know Rojas made many mistakes

Just a few weeks ago when the Mets were still in the hunt, he pitches to the Marlins best hitter with 2 bases open and a guy hitting .190 due up next. Game was tied in bottom of 9th. No reason to pitch to the guy. Even announcers were saying "what is he doing?" You know what happened next...line drive hit for the walk off win

So many examples of similar situations he screwed up. He belongs in the minor leagues coaching the young guys. That's a perfect fit for him.

Yes, Mets had many players who did not perform or were hurt. But Rojas had to be replaced.

Would like to see Backman, but Alderson hates him so no chance in that.

It was a tough spot for him as a rookie manager. Going weeks without scoring runs was pretty bad though. Terry Collins never had that happen.

It's easier to fire the manager than tearing players contracts and start all over from scratch.

Carlos Beltran has served his time. Give him the job he lost out on 2 years ago.

Rojas was a horrible coach. Guy kept bringing in Edwin to close games after he continued to blow games. Edwin has sucked for years. A good coach adjusts and doesnt play him

    Actually they didn't fire him.

They declined their 2022 contract option as manager. He was offered a chance to remain in the organization in another unspecified role. He has not accepted or rejected the position.

It didn’t look like the Mets had a manager to fire/not renew.

Yeah because his contract was up. But I don't understand why Wilpon can't find somebody qualified to manage the Mets. He's got plenty of $ . I mean go out there and get someone who can get the job done.
