Joe Namath and Ken Stabler excluded ...

Who's the greatest Alabama QB of all time?

NFL or NCAA level?? AJ McCarron and Tua lit up the College game. Tua had Ruggs, Juedy, Waddle and Devante to throw to so that counts for something. NFL level there is not enough data unless you default Brody Croyle for starting some games.

I think Mac Jones had the best season of any recent Bama QB and will be a better PRO than both AJ and TUA.

I'll be more specific, which U of Alabama QB had the best NFL career.
    I wasn't 100 percent specific.

This question had nothing to do with passing or passing yards just to be clear!! Who was the greatest besides Namath and Stabler

One guy no one remembers is Pat Trammel went 26-2-4 Bear Bryant's all time favorite player!

    or AJ McCarron 36-4

L didn't see the NFL part until after my answer but these 2 as collage winners!!

Bottom Line Nash is take out Namath and Stabler it's slim pickings at least for who I remember. I think Mac Jones will prove to be the best of the bunch in due time. excluding the 2 you mentioned.

Most of you won't remember this guy, but Richard Todd was a really good player but was overshadowed by THE NYSE. Klecko and Gastineau. I would say Richard Todd over Brodie Croyle by a country mile. Todd had the Jets in the playoffs and the brink of the Super Bowl a couple of times.

I guess this is cracker barrel stuff. As long as it does not get disrespectful to the regular Joeís on the teams that they were just dirt.

At the end of the day - the quality of the regular Joeís is just as important?

There's a reason I had Richard Todd on the brain. He's the answer to THIS trivia Q:

*What Alab QB followed Ken Stabler in College and Joe Namath in the pros?

Broadway Joe has made more money and definitely got laid more although The Snake was a near dead heat second. Oh, and won a Super Bowl as a double digit dog.

If memory serves me right Todd held the NFL record for many years for most completions in a game.
