Opinions Needed On My First Gun Purchase 💥

    Home defense

Some tell me a shotgun is best to protect others in the home from stray bullets.

But honestly want something fancier or cooler with attachments.

    Clueless so all advice welcome

Don't buy one. I have NEVER had a gun and I will never have one. Come into my house and I will bash your head in with an aluminum baseball bat.

If you want to buy something that you can learn to use fast and might need to use in a short period of time, I'd recommend a double action revolver. It's basically load and pull the trigger. No cocking needed. The easiest to learn/use.

If you want a semi-automatic hand gun at some point, can't go wrong with a Glock. You can have more than one clip ready to go in case you use your rounds quick and need more.

If you have time to learn and practice, can't go wrong with a pump action .12 gauge. You can load multiple rounds and will have a much higher chance of hitting your target than with a hand gun.

All basic/novice info here but you sound like someone without much experience with guns.

You want a 9mm Luger if you're buying a hand gun as they stop perpetrators in their tracks.....

All law enforcement both civilian and military use the 9 MM Luger

AR-15. Long barrel rifles are accurate than a hand gun.

If you want to make sure you don't miss, a shotgun.

A World War II NAZI MP-40 (machine pistol) 9 MM LUGER with 25+1 magazine SEMI automatic that can easily be modified in to a fully automatic beast!!!
(no one in right mind would ever do it though as its illegal and would give ya AUTOMATIC long federal prison term and you'd never be able to legally own a firearm again)

Manufactured as a pistol with no *stock*, this replica classic firearm is the closest version of an MP-40 to be importable in decades!!

The MP-40 (machine pistol) was developed in Nazi Germany during WWII, and American Tactical and GSG are excited to bring this reproduction of the original WWII MP-40 to the United States.

While maintaining a close overall appearance to the original firearm, the GSG-MP40P 9mm is manufactured with all-new parts to US regulation specs for importation.

It has a Zamak 5 (zinc alloy) frame with polymer accents, a 25-round magazine, and includes a loading assistance accessory. The MP-40 is perfect for casual plinking, target shooting, and hunting.

Note: This firearm ships in a cardboard box, wooden crates are no longer available.

    Caliber 9MM LUGER
    Action SEMI AUTO
    Capacity 25+1 ROUNDS
    Barrel Length 10.8 BARREL
    Weight 7.88 LBS.

A shotgun is good for critters but bulky and could be hard to handle if you don't have a lot of time to respond. I have a 12 gauge locked up but I have a solid security system so I will know if someone is breaking in. Shotguns scatter buckshot so I'm not sure if that is best to protect others but it will stop someone in their tracks if they are within several yards.

I dumped my hand guns when I had kids. Don't really have the need anymore, live in a pretty safe area and don't have to travel like I once did. Nothing against them but make sure you get the good training available. Cool would be the last thing I would look for in a gun but if that's important, do it.
