Should I hedge? 2k last leg of parlay riding on Saints ML

    Started with a $350 deposit.

Through I turned that into a $500 parlay with Saints ML as last leg. Through leverage rolling if plays the bet is now worth $2k if Saints ML wins.

Should I hedge? I usually let it ride unless it’s for mid-four figures, and 2k would be a nice add to the Vegas bankroll (heading out in Feb for Fury-Wilder and again in March the first weekend of the madness),

It would still be nice to make sure I have a small profit one way and a decent one the other as I’ve won five smallish rolling If bets to make the ticket potentially pay more.

    Thanks!

No Jay. I originally played one hand of Blackjack for $100 and got dealt BJ. Played a three team ML parlay for a nickel with Ohio U/Cincy Bearcats/Saints.

Been waking up hella early for some reason for a week so I’ve been betting this ATP Cup Tennis In Australia that’s on at 3 am or earlier With leverage rolling if bets and have been killing it.

So now my ticket is worth $2k, but all comes down to a Saints ML win. If they lose, all other leverage if bets become losers as well.

Rolling if bets and rolling parlays that include New Orleans are an indication that you have liked them for some time now. Hedging at this point, in my opinion is -ev.
I've been betting exact game scores with some moderate success but, tennis is tough in the early rounds.

If I was walking in your boots. Might put about $350 on MINN + the number. GL> Middle opportunity.

Yes. That was the other thought other than cheaper Minny ML option. Middle option would be nice.

Sometimes I just can’t seem to pull the trigger on these even though they make so much sense. Too much gamble in me I guess. It sure does sting when it doesn’t go your way on a let it ride you could have hedged.

To be honest if you're asking the board that means you're already leaning on hedging and would like assurance. I would hedge just to have a guaranteed profit for the vegas trip unless money is not an issue. 5dimes has the ML for the Vikings at +345 so I would make a bet of $391 - payout: $1350, with a profit of $1k. If your original bet wins you'll still be up (2K - 391 = with a profit $1.6K)

    Good luck either way!

Actually thinking about pressing while hot If Saints win and parlaying Chiefs ML and Ravens ML next week to win another grand+

Not sure I see a scenario where it’s anything but the Ravens v Chiefs in the conference championship game. Seems like they’ve been on a collision course the last 6 weeks.

Minny plus the points is not a hedge. It's a middle opportunity. If you must bet, take the points and not the moneyline.

If your balance does go back to zero if Saints lose,
you should hedge with Vikings ML, to a point of your own satisfaction, yes.
this is MORE true because they are so cheap.

    "since you asked..."

Do I think Vikings will win? Absolutely NOT, but this is still NFL.

One could argue you don’t like money if you willing to concede some of it back regardless of outcome.

Yay another Should I Hedge thread. The question is the same as: "should I bet team X?" And if the posters here knew the answer to that they wouldn't be cleaning their overalls and uniforms for their 9-5 tomorrow. If you interpret the question as a matter of EV, the answer to these questions is always NO. Really simple actually.

    Funny.

I totally agree. Just had too much of a good run off the initial deposit not to for a little.

Won another $140 on a Chelsea/Sheffield parlay this morning on the rolling ifs.

Hedged Vikings ML risking $200 +245.
