Scherzer and the Nationals are now -180.
    Oakland’s down a nickel to -137.

Both totals are steady at 7.5
    Both over’s are juiced however.

Max opened at -165 now -180
    Thats’s a whole lotta love.

I’m not so sold on the Athletics Nash. They have really struggled lately. Tend to like the under in that game. Idk hard to gauge who will step up in the pressure game.

one thing I won't do is lay the price w/ Scherzer. Brew crew for sure worth a look. game is a toss up.

I have Max in a money line 2 team parlay.
    I don’t ever lay -180 or so as a stand-alone bet.

Washington Nationals do have a penchant of shitting the bed in October though.
I am rooting for two of my 2015 hero’s though, Lo-Cain and Moose.

Under 4 first five inning might be the way to go.

Do you specifically not lay -180 or you talking that much juice in general.

Here's a few more numbers for all to chew on:

    - Brandon Woodruff is 2-0 with a 0.26 ERA in four career appearances (two starts) against Washington. A smaller sample size, but still impressive.

    - Max Scherzer is 2-2 with a 2.29 ERA in nine career appearances (eight starts) against Milwaukee.

    - Scherzer's home record in 2019 is 4-5, ERA 3.16; Last 3 games he is 1-2, ERA 6.11.

Both teams playing their best baseball of season - Nats obviously have the advantage on offense with Yeli out - I just don't think the overall pitching matchup is as lopsided as people think - Brewers have the better pen.

Milwaukee got a taste of playoff success last year, winning at Chicago in Game 163, and getting one game from the WS. Nats have a history of choking in deciding playoff games. Brewers won season series 4-2. Happy to take the +170 in an "all hands on deck" one-gamer.

Washington talking about using strasburg and whoever to get it done. Think Washington smokes them. Max adrenaline will be pumping. Hopefully a decent umpire and he has control

Great analysis. Gotta roll with the dog at that price. I like the over too I think it’s a close game and pens get lit up late to push it over

    good stuff

brewers made it to the nlcs (as underdogs) both of the last 2 times in the playoffs

nationals haven't made it to the nlcs since 1981 (!) and have lost in their first round all 4 times in the playoffs since then

so you have the brewers, who haven't lost an early round like this in 11 years, and the nationals who haven't won ANY ROUND in 38 years

Like their chances Mike. With a 5% shot just to make the postseason back on September 6th, it's all gravy at this point. While they're here, why not do some damage!

Starters coming out of the pen is never the same as starting. If max comes out early for Strasbourg that means he’s already been smoked

Scherzer is 35 and he could be stiff with the aches and pains if you going by that angle.

Tampa is the best bet i think with Morton pitching the guy in his prime and a genuine ace starting pitcher.

Woodruff has had rib issues or something. Judging by what's been reported he isn't planning on going long and almost read like he was defeated. We will see.

Woody will go 2-3 innings, maybe more. Braun is starting, Cain nowhere close to 100% but will give it a go.

Milwaukee has to feel the letdown of not getting the division after the Cubs opened the gate for them. For the season as it was these totals seem a little low. Are they switching to regular baseballs or staying with the juiced?

Report: Nationals offered 3B Anthony Rendon deal worth $210 million to $215 million

The Washington Nationals offered third baseman Anthony Rendon a seven-year deal worth $210 million to $215 million, according to The Washington Post.
The early September offer is not expected to keep Rendon from hitting the free-agent market this winter, according to The Post. Rendon signed a one-year deal worth $18.8 million before this season.

somebody is paying rendon this offseason

Does Max strikeout 10 or more Brewers? That's a lot of K's. Pass
Does Max allow 5 or more hits? If Max goes seven or eight innings Brews should scratch out 5 hits. I might hit this prop.
Does Max allow 2 earned runs or more? Tough one. Plus the juice is ridiculous.

    Tue 10/1 7461 WAS M.Scherzer strikeouts o9½ +115
