Viewed as the Eastern Conference’s deepest and most talented team entering 2018/19, the Celtics have been somewhat inconsistent this season and currently sit fifth in the East at 22-15. The club’s intermittent struggles have led to some trade speculation, but Danny Ainge doesn’t sound like someone who expects to be making deals in the coming weeks.

Although Ainge and the Celtics will do their due diligence in exploring the trade market, the team’s president of basketball operations suggested today during an appearance on the radio show Toucher & Rich that a major move is probably unlikely, as Darren Hartwell of NBC Sports Boston relays.

“We’re always looking to upgrade our team if those opportunities present themselves. But I think that’s going to be tough,” Ainge said. “As far as trading players, I don’t really see much out there. We have a lot of good ones. It’s hard to get better players than we have.”

    1. Some playing more hurt than they let on.
    2. Others only role players.
    3. Still others blow too hot n cold.
    4. Team basically overperformed last season with players that are not elite level...Brad Stevens wizardry in action...most his players look MVPish but when they leave don't match their level again.

The Boston Celtics fell to the Miami Heat on Thursday evening, 115-99, but there were plenty of fireworks on the sideline as well.

In an Instagram video from a fan close to the Celtics bench, Jaylen Brown and Marcus Morris can be clearly seen getting into a physical altercation in which Morris shoves Brown following a heated discussion. Marcus Smart ends up separating the two and moves Brown away from Morris.

This video is certainly interesting because the team was coming off of a win over the Indiana Pacers and Kyrie Irving preached about how a Dec. 21 team meeting helped bring all the team's issues out in the open and build more chemistry. Since that meeting, the Celtics have won seven of their last 10 games, including Thursday's loss.

Taking a 2nd half dump in Orlando tonight.
I really wanted to like these guys, but the effort compared to last season is way off.
Brad might need an assistant coach to rattle a few cages.

None of the guys of the Celtics happy wrh the minutes they get. Hayward is good once a week. Tatum hasnt taken the next step this year we all thought he would. Kyrie needs to take more shots and stop worrying bout getting everyone involved

Chemistry issues. Way too early in the season. These guys will get over it after first round win. They just need to be in the pit together and everyone needs to accept their role. I think smart should move back to the bench and brown should start. Same with Hayward. Bench Marcus Morris. Why would u bench two guys who have never come off the bench in their career? Brad Stevens is lost which is crazy to think. Call me Brad.

also, Indy needs to make a trade. This team is a contender with one big piece.

Aside from Smart, Morris and Semi nobody on roster is playing better than they did last season. Hayward doesn’t count.

They have to figure out who is going to be their long term nucleus. Too many good players that need minutes and shots.

At about the 4:30 minute mark Kawahi hits a bucket and one of the commentators seriously said "What a shot! kaWHY not!!" Honestly he needs new writers.

I bet on the Clippers moneyline when the Celtics were up by 28.

    I won $62,000.

    Note taking in session.

A lineup shift needs to happen. Brown is not comfortable on the bench. Put the veterans like Morris on the bench. They know how to handle it. Brown is a young guy and wants his starting job. Bench Marcus smart if you need to. Rozier needs to stop whining. Just accept his role.

Everyone saying Hayward contract is bad needs to chill. Guy had a horrific injury. He's getting better slowly. By playoff time, he should be a very solid contributor.
