I did once thinking I would win and got buried, I have never done it again. I lit candles and everything praying to the Lord for winners that one Sunday when I was down $9500 to a tough bookmaker. I am still ashamed for using the church that way.

JJ I honestly said a prayer to God for the Colts to cover last week, and they pushed. I think I did myself a disservice because while I remained a devout catholic all throughout the week, I started to get cocky as they took a 17 pt lead and all it went in the shitter. Maybe it's because the last time I stepped in a church was for some chicks wedding, and I only did that so I could attend the reception after for the open bar.Comment -

I always say a prayer before I go surfing, some thing like "Dear lord please dont let me get eaten today by a shark". I was in the water once when a guy was killed by a Bull Shark here, its not something you ever forget.Other than that I wouldnt ask God to take a side on a wager of mine, just doesnt feel right.

I use to take a female acquaintance to a sportsbook with me, and right when it was tight and about to finish she use to start praying for my picks, at first it was comical but then I had to tell her to stop - she was giving me bad luck.
