Fun fact math quiz - If you invested $1000 in Netflix and Amazon in March 2009 -

Reading the gains now.. This is fact...

Netflix stock went up 6144% since March of 2009..

Amazon stock went up 3038% since March of 2009...

Imagine if you invested just $1000 in each back then (9 years ago).. A $2000 investment in total...

Let's see if anyone can do the math and figure out what both stock figures combined would be worth today if you sold?

Sure if you have a crystal ball or insider information on the stock you are investing in...

Stocks are a gamble because you have no control over how the company is being run.. You are gambling on the performance of the product and how it is being advertised, the yearly returns, how the company is expanding and run... I don't like stocks but I keep an eye on them, I like and prefer investing in real estate instead because I have some control over that.

Real Estate can't tank and fold either like dying stocks can especially if you buy the real estate in a good area.. Commercial real estate can set you up for life and I'm living proof of that...

If you started with a sportsbook $2000 balance 10 years ago and won $100 every day you would have $365,000 now.

I tried penny stocks in my early 30's.. Studied the companies, diversified and still lost 30 grand.. Learned my lesson back then and gave that up quickly.. Haven't bought much stock since to be honest....

My rich buddies kept telling me to follow Warren Buffet picks over the years but I never did.. They all made alot of money following Warren Buffet...

That dude had the touch, insider information, a crystal ball or just blessed because he didn't flaunt his vast wealth.. IDK?.. What ever he invested in over the decades usually turned to gold over time, that I do know.....

Warren Buffet lives a simple life despite his vast wealth and ended up giving away alot of his money in the end which I appreciated, perhaps that's why he was blessed with his stock insight most of the time...

I've been in both NFLX and for a long time. GGP really kicked ass since 2009 more than both. United Rentals, Nvidia have also done very well. I was screaming most of these stocks in these forums at least 6/7 years ago.
