Sounds good and I'm sure it will happen soon. Understandable they wanted to protect themselves a little at first.

Even so I never feel more alive then when I'm paying a little extra vig sometimes. It's not gambling - it's this f****d up need to feel something! To convince ourselves we exist!

The numbers Will always be good because of the unreal population New Jersey New York

The majority of their players will be people that never heard of an offshore sports book

    Very different markets

    This is kind of disconcerting;

"racetracks in New Jersey are making you remove your hats and sunglasses when at the counter to make your wagers. I can’t get a straight answer as to why this is. However, I think eventually they will use facial recognition software to weed out advantaged gamblers".

I am sure B&M shops worldwide have thought about this, but to so blatantly insist customers are IDed that way seems a step too far.

Surprised Meadowlands is trying so hard to alienate customers early with over 20% profit and these sort of actions.

If I was running the place I would have started out with at least -110/-110 lines and tried to make punters feel welcomed, not surveilled.

Meadowlands is set up nicely ! They took a lot of action , went with 5 of us and have a few friends just staying under radar has I told them when I’m in Borgata A little later today . Just bet a few tickets. Instead of putting nice wager one in ticket. One of young horse manager at Borgata agreed with us. Just stay off radar and we will be fine. Mgm takes nice bets. No problem. I seen few nice ones there . Big m will have food and drink area for football . Lots of giveaways to come at all of the places. I got shit from covers.com that were there for Borgata . More to come . Love this life !!! Ok boys going fishing for stripers today with a nice group !

This is all a part of the reality of today and as far as I know the Chinese are leading in the technology and implementation.

In terms of the lines, they may have had little choice, but they did offer those crazy NYY odds.

Could be a brief mini gold rush, but very brief.

Once they get the apps online in NJ it will be worth it. I heard another two weeks for that. The lines may suck right now but there is something nice about being paid cash and not having to do some shady bitcoin or cashing a check that takes 6 weeks to clear.

Don’t forget you have to go to the book to deposit and withdraw just like Las Vegas except I think for one place

I refuse to play at any place the only -110 lines you just can’t win without reduced juice and bonuses

What happened to your video where you demanded being "old school" and insisted on always laying -110?

Long term nobody wins no matter what the juice is. At least you don’t have to worry about the offshore issues we’ve seen in the past.

    Latest news and rumors

Borgatta and WH online before this month ends.
WH has already banned at least one player for winning too much.
Books demanding a Players Card and/or supervisor approval for 1K and up bets.
Spreads between 20 and 100 at Meadowlands. Unfrigginbelievable.
Meadowlands won't be able to accept football wagers during local games until a deal can be worked out with NFL.
Betfair(FanDuel/Meadowlands) will have online app by football season. It will copy Las Vegas model in not requiring NJ residence(anyone visiting can join, must be inside NJ to bet).

Bet365 not too far behind, and they're coming to NJ too. Too bad, they have some other very good things going for them.
European Union sucks. They hypocritically claim they stick up for individual and consumer rights.

But instead, have spawned all these FrankenThief books.

    Cantor's been strangely quiet.

WTF is this bullshit? What is the standard juice?

30-cent lines? What about the taxes?

Max juice should be -111/-111. IE, if they want to put Euro lines of 1.90 on each side, that would be ok. Anything more than that is egregious + too much.

remember only a slight chance you will be able to do deposits and withdrawals without going

If located in AC makes it hard to even use it going to book for money transactions

They prolly figure there's plenty of local squares, tourists and those starved for legal action in NYC metro area to fish from.

It should end once yearly profit numbers are in, online betting gets going and dwarfs in-person...plus maybe NY or Conn present a better product. We need lots and lots of patience...wait 'till next year, as Eagles fans were so used to.

Or maybe it won't, NJ has been destroying sports, horses and casinos for 4 decades.
I have better hopes for anything in NY, maybe in the Catskills, with Cantor and all the other Wall Street wizardry present. Even for Connecticut, with its sparse population and casinos in the middle of nowhere...they need to compete on prices.
New Jersey just thinks they have it made being near large populations, and that they know everything already because of Atlantic City...but they practically destroyed AC, ditto horse racing with Garden State gone + Atlantic & Monmouth on life support, screwed up having sports betting 25 years ago...

Borgata poker NJ (MGM) and playmgm.com both allow deposit/withdrawl from wireless.....you can even withdrawl from outside of NJ state lines but cannot deposit unless inside the NJ geo.

For instance, if you are in NJ on vacation or for business you can play cards and then withdraw once you leave the state....no deposits unless inside state lines. No reason it should be different for sports.
