I don't follow NBA anymore but saw this as Breaking News online and explored further to see that they are 30-13? Without knowing the details, seems like a crazy move to fire a guy with that good of a record but what do I know?

They should never have fired Budenholzer. Prunty is the interim just like he was when they fired Kidd 6 years ago

They should go after Terry Stotts

It's easier to replace one guy than trade the starting line up to other teams.

I've seen a couple of Bucks game and I will admit Griffin looked lost out there. Kind of reminded me of Stephen Silas with the Rockets.

Giannis called everyone out and it worked for 1 game v Boston who was on a b2b and just pulled out a late comeback and OT win at home to stay undefeated at home

then he missed a game and they didn't come out to play v Cavs who were on a win streak and lost by 40

casually played both games v Det

    about time

I think that’s still speculation. If they do hire him, that’s sad. He was “mentoring” Griffin.

Aren't most players from the 70s and 80s black? Why are you surprised that most NBA coaches are black?

    i'm not surprised by that.

post was re: al sharpton. i doubt it would surprise anyone that if they hired a white coach, sharpton would get involved.

Absolutely...firing a first year black coach after going 30-13 for a white guy would have started riots and "peaceful protests"

I probably would not have fired the guy with a ~70% winning % and added another defensive mind to the staff...at least let the guy finish the season and then reevaluate in the offseason.

Terrible organization obviously. They fired Bud days after his brother died. Then they hired this guy only to fire him because he wanted guys to play hard. It's okay though Rivers will take a 3-1 lead in round 2.

Bucks in win now mode obviously - Better add some defense by the deadline. Griffin was 30-13 but the Bucks had the easiest schedule in the league so far - Most of us could have got 25-30 wins with this talented team. A change is fine but Doc? The guy is a playoff disaster waiting to happen, especially if the Bucks are up 3-2 in a series...

They should have never fired Budenholzer, should have never fired Griffin. The guy had the 2nd best record in the NBA.

But we must understand that being a clueless idiot is the only realistic path to being anything in this world-gm, coach, President, CEO, you name it.

Doc Rivers now 1-5 as Bucks Coach. Why would you fire someone winning 70% of their games?

Bucks had a good record, but they did not play well for their coach. They're desperate to keep Anteto' hence all these panic moves that are ruining everything they built up.

Should’ve waited until offseason. Give the guy a break and see if he can repair the problem. It was too quick compared to the success he was having.
