    Dell Laptops suck

Bough a new laptop some months ago constantly having RAM problems /getting stuck just by running a poker client, chrome, some stream and telegram plus other job software that frankly aint heavy

Before I used Toshiba and never had major problems...

    Back to Toshiba I guess

Man I'm appalled frankly... damn shame

But I'll guess I'll take this opportunity to buy a good solid quality 800$+ laptop... solid card and big RAM (hopefully 12-16GB)

I don't think there is much difference... they all use the same components. Had good luck with Toshiba, and later an HP I loved. Using Dell now no problems

Bought a new legacy ASUS , about 2 yrs behind

removed CD rom <-- put stock HDD in its place for storage

    added SSD for OS

    doubled the RAM

all in all was fairly cheap for a really good laptop

I was about to say that even HP is probably better than Dell these days, or at least when comparing prices & value.

I dont really think brand matters

it matters whats inside, did you pay attention to that when you made your purchase?

My new Dell has been awesome, but I've had a lot of problems with Dells in the past. I guess it just depends. If I had to take a guess I would go with HP.

My HP's are great.. Good support, great and easy set up out of the box.. I can't say one thing bad about the top of the line 17" HP laps.. Working a 17" HP lap now... Touch screen, great sound, fast and efficient.. I like it. Light and sleek... Every thing you want in a Laptop in my opinion...https://www.lifewire.com/best-hp-laptops-4153928

Well I gotta say the Toshiba Laps have the Tru-Brite screen displays and they are just slightly more brilliant then most other laps on the market today including my new HP laps... I've compared personally.. Toshiba gets the nod for screen display..

I still have a soft spot for the 17" Toshiba Sats I can't lie....

Bought a MacBook back in May.. best decision. dropped the 1k around 6pm... then pounded the spurs in the series clincher vs Houston and won it all back by nights end.

may be a couple hundred more than others, but just spend the money. you won't be disappointed.

My best bud was running a Dell Lap, he worked on my HP last time he was over.. A week later he bought an HP just put it that way.. He gave up on Dell laps as well.. I guess his Dell lap gave him a few problems as well or he just thought the HP's were superior...

He's also very happy with his HP lap now like I am... Costco has a good deal on them right now with a rebate and so does Amazon..

I moved away from a Dell for home and went to a Lenovo X1 Carbon with touchscreen and it is awesome! Still use Dell for work. That's about all they're good for.

Bought nothing but HP Products from 1998-2012

I stopped buying their products because of the print cartridge scam that the company admitted to. They admitted that every time you power on your printer it cycles ink... you lose like 2% of the cartridge. I was going through ink like crazy. I thought it was just standard? Hell no... I bought a Brother Laser Jet... best purchase I made in my life. Model # HL-L2380DW absolutely love this printer. Best bang for the buck. Tons of YouTube videos on how to extend the life of your Brother Printer. Works like a charm.

As for all the Dell negativity... I use to hate Dell myself. Thought their products were made out of cheap parts. Come to find out... every manufacturer has issues. I'm not so hard on Dell anymore. I might buy a computer from them one day.
