    SpaceX just did something amazing

When Falcon Heavy lifts off, it will be the most powerful operational rocket in the world by a factor of two. With the ability to lift into orbit nearly 64 metric tons (141,000 lb)---a mass greater than a 737 jetliner loaded with passengers, crew, luggage and fuel--Falcon Heavy can lift more than twice the payload of the next closest operational vehicle, the Delta IV Heavy, at one-third the cost. Falcon Heavy draws upon the proven heritage and reliability of Falcon 9.

around 35mins to watch the boosters land.

    Amazing!!!!

I've been following the Space X program for a time now.. Yes they have perfected the reverse rocket landing technique....

All we need to discover now is a force field of some sort to protect a space craft from (radiation and small space debri impact hits), something different and more powerful then rocket fuel, and lastly artificial gravity for the journey to Mars and back..

This was still very impressive for what we have seen today..

He's been working on this for yrs now, glad he making progress

Difference between him and bezos is he's getting recognition while trying to innovate the world whereas bezos is just looking for the recognition

Cool idea indeed... Still gotta find a way to block out solar radiation and tiny objects flying through space at tens of thousands of miles an hour and then hitting and breaching the built moon structures..

Remember the moon has no ozone layer... Not hospitable for human life even if you can build the structures just yet...

I can't argue this.. The Apollo missions back in the day aren't so obsolete from what we can do better today.. I think we would still be challenged a bit to put men on the moon like we were then...

The Space shuttles were a bust and really served little purpose, the space station is floating junk today as well...

I will say our rover technology and telescope technology has increased by leaps and bounds over the decades though..

Looks like Space X finally mastered the reverse rocket landing.. They were struggling with it for time there...

    Mastered...

They lost the middle booster but it really doesn't take away from incredible feat that was accomplished.

I live in space coast. It was a big event for us. Lots of kids got checked out of school. Beaches packed to watch. Felt like shuttle all over again. I could see boosters coming back. Didn’t see them land as lost st tree line but so incredible. People cheering. Just fun. If you haven’t seen this. This is the feed from that Tesla. Watch it for a while. You can see it rotating and you get some incredible views of earth. Not sure how long this will work https://www.pscp.tv/w/1DXxyXggQenJM

If you hit that link and all you see is black just give it time. There are 3 cameras it switches between and car is spinning in space so it will come around.

Love this stuff,It is amazing and cool....I find it fascinating to look into deep space....our minds can not grasp the vastness of space....the are about 750,000,000,000 stars in our Milky Way Galaxy and there are about 750,000,000,000 Galaxy's......think about it !!..???

They also overshot Mars and are in the belt.

Musk figured it was a success if the rocket blew up without damaging the pad.

Amazing what they did but yeah, why the dummy? That's a little cheesy.
